Crying yourself to sleep because you don’t have the 4.0 GPA, 2300+ SAT score that everyone else seems to have.
Sleeping with your SAT book in order to score as close to a 2400 as humanly possible.
Obsessively googling all your top colleges and ■■■■■■■■ forums to figure out a way to get in.
Hanging out on the CC forums during winter break.

Treatment:
HAHAHAHAHHAAHHA. There isn’t one.
(Other than never visiting CC again… but that’s like cutting off your hand. Who would ever do that?!)

“but that’s like cutting off your hand. Who would ever do that?!”

Someone with gangrene?

Maybe in the first month I was on here. Then I realized getting into Ivy-esque colleges is pretty much a lost cause for me, so I gave it up. Junior year is way too late to start thinking about this stuff if you want to go to an Ivy.

If the stuff people post on those chances threads is their worst side, I don’t want to see their best.

A lot of people do that whole self-deprecating fish-for-compliments thing on here. And I’ve done it before too, but I’m not the only one. As in people saying their grades are “decent” when they got straight A’s.

I know this probably isn’t the best way, but I’ve found that looking at all the…negative reviews on other sites(such as urban dictionary) concerning CC really makes you feel better.

@purmou I think it brings out the Asian overachiever (even if you’re not Asian) in all of us
And I seriously underestimated the dirty minds of CCers when I said “sleeping with SAT books.”
For the record, I have none of the above symptoms except the last one I’m just about to spiral into that pit though. @aj1996 I THINK YOU’VE DISCOVERED THE CUREEEEEEEEEEE!

It’s not like I check my grades multiple times a day and constantly compare myself to you smart people… No not all at insert nervous laugh here
