I am in the process of deciding where I should apply to for an MPH. I have a few schools in mind, but I need back up plans so I have a place to study.
Argosy University has campuses all over and online programs. I looked into the MPA program they have at the San Francisco campus. The program focuses on community health and promotion, which is what I am interested in.
Now…with it being a hybrid University, that is on campus and online degrees, does that make it a less desirable place for graduate studies?
I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Argosy is a for-profit university and its MPH programs are not accredited by the Council for Education on Public Health. That may affect your ability to find a job after graduating.

In general, for-profit schools have a significantly lower academic reputation than even “low-tier” public universities, while charging significantly more money. I would not recommend you pursue a degree from Argosy.

You can find CEPH-accredited programs here: http://www.ceph.org/pg_accreditedschools_search.aspx

If you’re looking for a school in the San Francisco area, San Jose State University has an MPH in community health education.

Thank you very much. I was wondering why I could not find any accreditation info on their website.
