<p>AZ is politically combative for sure - welcome to the wild west. One of the recurring dialogues involves how to attract more high tech. companies to AZ - the main reason the state is passed over in these negotiations is the relatively lower percentage of college educated adults in the population. The state universities have done EVERYTHING they possibly can given their funding to improve this situation. Craig Barrett’s comments about not bringing Intel to AZ if he had the opportunity to make the choice today are not unlike comments from many other CEO’s who chose not to come over the past decades. Google came to AZ shortly before the economic meltdown, it was widely celebrated as a coup for AZ. Google isn’t here anymore…and AZ can’t build its economy on sunny real estate alone.</p>
<p>This bill is dead. May it rest in peace, now AZ can move on to eliminating the right to carry concealed weapons on its college campuses.</p>
