<p>Thanks for the link, AA. Philosophy, a Jesuit religious order, and entrepreneurship. Quite an unconventional pathway to Yale Admissions. Brenzel’s criticism of the U.S. News rankings rings hollow, IMO, but the end of the piece mentions two substantive policies now underway. One, the science and engineering initiative, I knew about. The other, “the admissions office’s efforts to broaden diversity to include socioeconomic class regardless of race, paired with efforts to increase this diversity through aggressive recruitment programs,” I didn’t. Bravo, Brenzel.<br>
