My daughter and I really enjoyed visiting Syracuse… loved the energy and course offerings. She is artsy, queer, and will be undecided possible environmental science. We know Cuse is known for party cuture/Greek life. She def wants to party some! She doesn’t want to feel tho that she is in a minority. From what she has seen online it seems there is a “place for everyone”. Anyone want to comment? Thanks!
My daughter is a sophomore at Syracuse and not into Greek life. She has gone to some parties with friends and has fun, but it’s not really her vibe. She’s an English major who was a theater kid and has a ton of LQBTQ/artsy friends! There is definitely something for everyone at ‘Cuse!
Great intel thank you!
@NYmom21 HI! My daughter is also at Syracuse and would agree that the vibe is pretty open to all. She is in a sorority but chose a specific one where members were also into a lot of other clubs and interests so their house membership isn’t the #1 priority. Your daughter should also check out The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry that’s connected to the SYR campus, if you didn’t already. They get all the benefits of the Syr campus & access but their academic programs are through SUNY-ESF. Though I get the impression that the Syr & ESF students don’t intermingle too much. ESF has a U of VT feel in terms of students, interests, vibe, etc. a little moreso than Syr does in my opinion.
Thank you so much!
