What range of act scores is tcnj looking for ???
Thanks for the previous help :)

what is the lowest SAT or credentials for getting accepted into the business major? I was deferred from TCNJ as an accounting major⊠can you give me any advice?

and when are the first round of deferral decisions going out?

Hello again,

I submitted my enrollment deposit of $600 about a month and a half ago. It still isnât updated on paws. Is this normal or was there a problem?

Where do I submit my letters of recommendation for transfer in the common app, or is it recommended to mail them in and if I do how do I address it so you know it goes along with my common app. Also what forms in the common app are required for transfer. How does it work with my high school sending in my transcript, if the high school happens to mail it in before I apply will it still end up with my information. One final question, it says online that college visits are considered in the application, how do you know that we visited when looking at the application. Thanks

Hi.
How do I change my major/college on paws? It says Humanities but I want to switch to Education.

Also, which school is more difficult to get into?

Thanks.

Also, when do you start sending out decisions?

iheartmath26 - EOF Questionnaires are emailed out to EOF applicants on a weekly basis. You should be receiving it soon.

TCNJdeferred - Our middle 50% for ACT scores falls between a 27 and a 31.

npsoccer27 - There is no âlowest credentialâ. Since we have a holistic process, we are looking at more than just the SAT score and class rank. Students of all ranks and scores have the chance to be admitted if they are strong in the other areas of their application (course rigor, ECâs, well written essays and glowing recs). We save the deferrals for the end of the process. Those students will be hearing close to April 1.

PhoenixTCNJ - I would give our Student Accounts office a call. They can be reached at 609.771.2172.

Brookdale93 - You can mail them to our office at The Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Paul Loser Hall Room 228, PO Box7718, Ewing, NJ 08628-0718. Make sure that the writer puts your name and birth date on there, so we can match it with your file. All of the forms on the Common Application are due with your application. When your high school transcript arrives, weâll be able to match it based on your birth date. If the transcript arrives before your application is downloaded, we will store it until your folder is created. We store who visits in our computer system so when studentâs files are up for review, we can easily see how many times they have officially visited TCNJ.

sph555- If you would like to change your major, you can follow this link and fill out the appropriate form. [Selecting a Major | Admissions](<a href=âTCNJ | The College of New Jerseyâ>TCNJ | The College of New Jersey) If you applied into a Secondary Education Major (for instance, English Teach Prep - to teach HS English) you would have a concentration in Education but be housed in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. We will start sending out decisions in mid-late February and continue sending them out until April 1. No student is guaranteed to hear until April 1.

Is it too late to apply? I live in New jersey and because of Sandy Iâm not sure if TCNJ extended the deadline or not.

Iâm wondering if you would be able to let me know of how we will know when decisions are announced. Will we get sent an email saying that results are posted, or should we just check our PAWS account daily around March? Are they sent out in batches or any particular order?

FeelingUnlucky - We have extended our deadline to Feb 1, so you still have a few more days to apply! You can fill out your Common App online to submit by Friday. Everything else (application fee, transcript, SAT/ACT scores) is due by Feb 15.

Volunteering101 - We send out our decision in batches in no particular order. All students will hear by April 1. Once a decision has been placed in the mail, it will be visible in PAWS. We do not email decisions.

Is it ok for me to send in my recommendation letter after Feb.1?

I applied to TCNJ and my school will actually be visiting the school in about 2 weeks so I can personally see the campus, classrooms, dorms etc. An alumni from my high school attends your campus and a particular story that she told me was that a student said a racial comment about her. Although I do not believe that TCNJ is a racist school I am concerned that I will not be accepted because I am African-American. With this being said I am curious to know the relations between different races throughout the school. Do the students intermingle, or do they stay to their own race? What percentage of your student body is a minority?

What are the average act scores for students admitted to the engineering school?

If the first round of decisions is Feb. 15 when would the second round be? or do you send decisions out randomly throughout the next month?

Hi Feelingunlucky - Recommendation letters (along with other supplemental materials like application fee, SATs and transcripts) are due on February 15th. You still have a few days to get those in.

Hi MalisaR - TCNJ has a diverse student body: diverse in ethnic make-up, religious affiliation, political orientation, sexual orientation, and geographic diversity. TCNJ is what we consider in higher education a PWI, or predominately white institution. And while this is the case, we foster an inclusive community where students from all walks of life are welcomed and encouraged to learn and grow. Our student body is comprised of 15% students of color, which is similar to other public schools in NJ. Last yearâs class specifically welcomed 9% African American students and 11% Hispanic/Latino/a students. Students enter college with a variety of prejudices and preconceived notions about other people, and college helps debunk many of those assumptions. Students involved in campus activities, sports, clubs, fraternities/sororities interact with students of all ages and ethnicities. TCNJ, in many ways, mirrors the world around us. And thatâs what we love about it! What better way to prepare for life after college than to be immersed in it academically and culturally? Hopefully this response eases some of your concerns about the culture of TCNJ. Feel free to contact us in Admissions if you need additional information.

TCNJDeferred - The middle 50% of the students accepted into the School of Engineering have an ACT score between 27-31.

Npsoccer27 - We will probably be sending out another batch of decisions in early March. The only promise we make is that all students who apply by the deadline will hear by April 1.

When decisions are out, will it be in the order of who applied earliest? (Iâm obviously very excited to know) I applied early November. Will I hear earlier than those who applied later in the year?

When do rejection letters go out for TCNJ? I know that sounds overly negative, just donât want to get my hopes up too much. Thanks!

Hello, my son was accepted through ED process and we are very excited about that but have a few questions:

He had received an e-mail about setting us (parents) up for the auxiliary access on his PAWS account so we can see when payments are due etc. but when he logs into his account, the layout doesnât correspond to what was referenced in the e-mail. Is it because he is technically not a student at TCNJ yet and will it be modified at a later point?

Do parents usually attend the accepted students day or is just for the students?

Does his status as National Merit Scholarship Finalist affect the amount of scholarship awarded? He is an out of state student. Does he need to submit the letter from NMSC to the out-of-state admissions contact?

Thanks you very much!
