Ask Me, I Give Better Advice Than Mike

i refuse to accept that i am on good terms with you, OVB .

dear bendy,
this girl refuses to give me her number (I’m a guy). She told me that she never gives it to boys, after I discovered that she was NOT a lesbian, I decided to finda way to make her hand it over, but couldn’t.
so, how do I make her give it to me??
thanx

Ok bendrum, your stress not mine. I’m going back to the rickoid forums now. This isn’t fun.

Dear Stuck,
As a girl, I think I have leavrage over Mike in solving a predicament such as yours. First, I will tell you that you must decide how important this girl is to you, ask yourself how much you are willing to fight for her. She sounds like she is very strong-willed, and it will not be easy to get her number. I suggest you write her a letter telling her, in the most honest terms, how you feel about her. You do not want to be a pest or annoying to her, becuase then you will never get her number and she will accuse you of sexual harassment or stalking (and you will be at fault, I’m sorry to say). So, see how she responds to your letter. Tell her you want to get to know her, and tell her you do not want to push her to do something she is uncomfortable with, which may be the reason she doesn’t give her number out. Then, after you succeed in developing an amicable relationship with her, you may tell her you would like to be able to call her in case you have questions about homework (this would not be your whole goal, obviously), or you might just be honest and say you want to be more than friends.

You must remember that friendship and relationships take time and patience. If you have ever read Le Petite Prince, there is a scene in reference to this. You must “tame” this girl. If you come on too strongly or aggressively, she may be nervous about your intentions. Take it slow.

In the end, it will she who decides whether you two will be more. Relationships are 50-50, and she must meet you half-way. If she does not put in her 50, then, I am sorry to admit, you must move on. She isn’t worth the time anyway.

Sincerely and Hope this helps,
Bendy

NOTE TO OVB- Please only use this thread for questions. Thanks

My suggestion, set an ultimatum to the girl. If the terms are not met, go through with it.

Take her dog ransom.
Start rumors about her.
Hook up with her best friend.
etc etc

Note to Hokegolie:

“Please only use this thread for questions. Thanks”

Note to Stuck:
Please disregard any unsolicited advice.

Whateva, I do what I want!

stuck:dont write her a letter, talk to her friends about it and seek the truth in why she doesnt give out her #. if she does to some guys and is lying to you, give up on her. if she never gives her # out, continue to pursue her. good luck.

p.s. go mike!

Note to Stuck: Please do not heed unsolicited advice, at least on this thread. I am a girl, and as this situation applies to an issue I am familiar with, why should you listen to a guy over a girl…

Dear Bendy,

Which team do you think will not make the playoffs this year?

Boston Red Sox
New York Yankees
Minnesota Twins
Chicago Whitesox
Detroit Tigers

I’m here to hijack this thread…hmmm.

Taekwondo…your list has at least 2 teams that will not make it into the playoffs. I’m predicting the BoSox and the Twins.

bendy

I really appreciate the advice, I do, but The whole letter thing sounds like the wrong way to go. I know her and something like that would trigger a scandal and my rep in school would be flushed down the toilet. :)

so, is there any other way to go, something a little less obvious??

(when i asked her for her number the first time…I stood around, embarressed of course, and noticed that she had told a couple of friends of hers…nothing happened, but i didn’t take it as a good sign)
to be honest, she does seem like trouble.

Note to bendrum: Please shut up.

OMG SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM THE THREAD

THIS THREAD HAS BEEN HI-JACKED

Wait…let her answer my question first!!!

Dear Stuck,

Thank you, you are so kind.

I am a romantic, and I guess my advice was selfish. If I were that girl, I would have like a letter. Let me start again.

First, if this girl is the “gossip” type, maybe you might reconsider your affection for her. But, as I know a crush is not something that can be controlled, I will go to Plan B. First, going to her friends may or may not be a good idea, depending on the girl. If she is a “gossip” type, this may not be a good idea because these friends will undoubtedly be on her side and will incite rumors about you stalking her, or something of that manner. This is why I insist you talk to to her directly and on honest terms. You said you were embarassed asking her for her number, so would you be uncomfortable talking to her in person? This is why I brought up the letter, but again, that could be passed around to her friends. If you absolutely must go out with this girl, I suggest you get one of her friends ALONE, and then ask if you have a chance with the said girl. I would suggest not asking for a number yet. I know I said this might be a bad idea, but it could also work very well. If her friend gives you the heads up, then you might consider talking to this girl in person, not in way that is aggressive, though. You might ask her to hang out or study with you. If her friends seem open to you, ask them for her number.

As a girl, I must warn you that females are not always as loyal as men. This is why the indirect, talking-to-her-friend route should be pursued with the utmost caution. Her friend may not be honest with you if she is envious of the said girl, and may lie about you to the said girl.

I know this is long-winded, but I still suggest writing a heartfelt letter. This is the most indirect, direct way I can think of. Besides talking to her face. Again, do not come on too strongly or freak her out with the “L” word. Ask her to hang out with just you, do not have your guy friends around because girls do not like that, or ask her for help with homework (if she is the studious type, or even if she is not.)

Anyway, I have faith in you. It’s all about the approach. Be confident but not annoyingly so.

In the end, if you still get the cold-shoulder, you may have to accept this for what it may very well be, a “crush” that will pass.

Hope this helped,
Bendy

Dear Taek,

Please excuse my tardiness in responding to your question. My guess goes to the Yankees. Or maybe I’m just biased…

Hope this helped,
Bendy

NOTE: please excuse all unsolicited answers.

Thanks for the advice bendy

BTW, I was embarressed not bec I asked her for her number but becuase she had turned me down.

Anytime!

Hey guys…how bout that burning question you really want to ask me?

THAT burning question?

Oh jeez, I don’t think we’re ready for that one yet.

Dear Hoke,

Let’s see, I’m not really sure if that was a question or just a random, idiotic, meaningless, needless comment. But I’ll do my best to handle your concern. Umm, maybe you should alka seltzer?

Sincerely
Bendy
