<p>Yes, a repost, but a question is a question all the same.</p>

<p>Should I skip PreCalculus? I’ll be a freshman next year. Or should I take it from a distance learning course at EPGY?
During my first semester, I would be normally signed up for Algebra II, which I plan on taking in order to have a good foundation. In the second semester, I would take Pre-Calculus, assuming I do not do any outside learning. If I took EPGY, I’d possibly finish Pre-Calculus within the first quarter of the year, leaving 3 free (outside) quarters. In my second quarter, while self-studying Algebra II, I’d have time to take AP Calculus A or B from EPGY. So, within the first semester, I have the option of finishing Calculus B. For the second semester, I’d take BC Calculus or Multivariable Calculus from the local CC or a Univ. Do you recommend doing this? I believe this would be good, for it frees up open spaces later on, which I can fill with Science likewise</p>

A solid mathematics education is essential. Math does not only teach us to work with numbers, but gives us logistical and problem solving skills which may be applied to many different areas. I would recommend not taking precalculus until you have sufficiently passed Alegbra 2, preferably with a C or higher. I would advise you not to take calculus and another class simultaneously. You sound very motivated, this will take you far.</p>
