Many pages back we had a thread devoted to meeting cc’ers in real life. If you are still coming to the NYC area, jym626, do you anticipate having the time for a “meet up” next Saturday either at GCT or in Westchester? What about everyone else who indicated interest and was waiting for personal schedule “shake outs.”</p>
<p>I’m up for Saturday, probably prefer Westchester, but GCT is easy too.</p>
<p>I’m almost 100% sure I can meet up at GCT, probably not in Westchester. I just need to know time info to make sure I have somewhere to leave my son for several hours. Normally, I would ask D to watch him, but I know she and her partner will be working on their documentary next weekend, and I don’t want him to bother them as they’ll need quiet while they’re recording.</p>

I am still planning to be in NY (Westchester) next Thurs evening- Sunday. I am still trying to get a read from my cousin as tyo when she plans to come down from W. Hartford. Is anyone a swami and can predict the weather for next week??</p>
<p>Lets take a poll and see what works for the majority. Westchester would be easier for me, but if the vast majority prefer GCS, I’d want to aim for maybe early afternoon - say 2ish?? What do people think?</p>
<p>Hey jym626, not a swami, but weather.com says it’s supposed to be moderate and in the mid-40’s or so. The details don’t have to be answered today-was just checking to see that you were still planning the sojourn to NY metro for next weekend. I know you said you’d have limited internet access while here, but we can certainly finalize details 4-5 days from now. I am amenable to either a GCT or Westchester “meet up,” but I know our LI friends might prefer GCT. It really does depend on you though, jym626-how this fits into your schedule.</p>
<p>Like I said, GCT will work for me - but if it can’t be, it can’t be. 2:00 would be fine with me - really anytime during the day is ok. Just keep us updated, and hopefully this will all work out.</p>

Mathmom, mythmom, momof3sons, NYmomof2,LIMomof2,CGarrett…anyone else??? SAt at 2 works for me-- I can probably do GCS (if my cousin doesn’t change her schedule a million times, as she is known to do!) or can do Westchester. Waddya think???</p>

I’m good to go for either location. I just checked the train schedule into GCT, and could get a train which would get me there a few minutes after 2 p.m. However, Westchester would work for me, too. (Roughly where in Westchester?)</p>
<p>Momof3, I am guessing that if you, mathmom, NYMomof2 and I all take the train in, we’ll probably be on the same train!</p>

<p>Central Westchester-sort of straight down the middle. Think (points north and then) White Plains, Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Tuckahoe, Mt. Vernon, various stops in the Bronx…</p>
<p>OK-- 4 of us are in Westchester, 1 in NYC and 2 on the island. If mythmom and LIMomof2 aren’t a “for sure”, then it would be easier for me to stay in Westchester. If they are for sure able to make it into GCS, I’ll try my best to make it work (my time will be a bit tight with things to do for my dad.) Unfortunately this isnt a social , fun trip, but I do want to have some fun! So, mythmom and LIMOMof2, are you in FOR SURE??? If so, I’ll plan to head into the city. We’ll work out the details.</p>

<p>Now that I have read this, I will see if I can find a place for S to hang out for a few hours Saturday afternoon. I’ll know by the end of the day if I have anyone available. If we meet at GCT, I am sure I can make it. It just sounds like Westchester might be easier for the rest of you (unless mythmom is coming too).</p>
<p>I’m in. GCT works for me, but if the crowd is going to Westchester let me know so that I can work this out logistically.</p>

<p>jym626 et al, I think I have to change my vote to Westchester as a preference. I just remembered a major conflict which might occur Saturday afternoon, and I am going to try the “two places at one time” thing and see how that works. GCT isn’t necessarily out, but Westchester would now work better for me. Are we talking the New Rochelle area or something similar, and if we meet in Westchester, might it be somewhat before 2 p.m. since we don’t have to travel into GCT?</p>
<p>My suggestion for 2 was based on the fact that my cousin was planning (weather permitting) to come down from W Hartford, and would come into the city with me. She couldnt get down til around 11, so we thought to aim for a train at 1ish. What time is better for you?? </p>
<p>Does anyone here have a babysitter age teen who could have with LIMIMOF2’s son if whe brougth him? Would that work, LIMOMOF2???</p>
<p>Closer to 1 p.m. if at GCT but seriously, I don’t want to make everyone else crazy. (If we ultimately decide on Westchester, even 1:30 would be better for me than 2 p.m.) When you find out your cousin’s plans and the LI contingent weighs in on this, just make a decision and we’ll abide by it as best as everyone can. Since you’re trying to squeeze this in, I was assuming you weren’t allocating more than an hour of meet and greet time, anyway. Am I correct?</p>
