Jym626, please don’t be too upset - but if there is snow or icy rain tomorrow, I may not be in the mood to go down to Soho before we meet up - it really depends on how much of a pain it is for me to get from my house to S’s friend’s house and then to the train, plus I just found out that there’s some type of construction happening on the LIRR. Are bagels an acceptable alternative? Lol. I know they have pumpernickel (not sure about the pumpernickel raisin or chocolate). I will try - I just wasn’t expecting this weather - the warnings always seem to be false alarms.

Mythmom - I don’t think any of us are going to look like fashionplates tomorrow - traveling in snow/icy rain just doesn’t allow for that. No worries there.

Mythmom - thanks you for that. I was feeling pretty guilty about not wanting to go down to Soho in messy weather. I would go to my local bakery, but as everyone here probably knows, my local bakery has been having some pest control issues, so although their baked goods are delicious, I don’t want anyone finding any surprises inside. I really want to make the trip down to Balthazar’s to get jym her chocolate bread - and I will if the weather cooperates. I haven’t given up hope completely - but I can see myself becoming frustrated by the weather.

No need to bring bread-- its really a sweet thought, but totally unnecessary. Just come!! See you tomorrow! I have very poor, unreliable internet, so dont count on my cking in much. If something changes, someone PLEASE call me.

I was planning to come, bread or no bread - just feeling bad since I made the offer. But thanks for understanding. I may still make it - it is worth the trip down to Soho - but only if the weather is a bit nicer.

What a blast!! Fourteen in addendance (a few spouses were in residence too). As my internet is currently extraordinarily unreliable (already lost my connection once trying to type this) I’ll defer so other attendees to fill in the details. But, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out in the post-snow to enjoy lunch and chat, to mathmom for making incredible CC nametags (they can be added to the items for sale here, with the thong!) and ESPECIALLY to LIMOMOF2 for going out of her way to get the yummy chocolate bread!! My cousin is here and now yelling at me to get off the computer. More to follow…
