<p>Oh my goodness – just reading this thread and wishing we still lived in Fairfield County, CT! Instead, we’ve moved to the town next to jym626’s cousin! Saturday doesn’t work for me, but I can already picture the fun, noisy gathering. Looking forward to reading the play-by-play afterwards!</p>

<p>^^^ Yes, I have heard the differing forecasts. If there is one snowflake in the sky she won’t risk coming down. Yes, she could have a valid excuse… but in her 55 years she has had <em>lots</em> of valid excuses. As I said, I adore her, but every attempt to schedule something involves this dance. I have learned to just make my plans. It is hard, though, when it involves tickets or other peoples.</p>

<p>Wow, jym, I read your ultimate frisbee hosting post quickly and thought that you were somehow hosting the frisbee boys at home WHILE you will be in NYC, but now I see that’s the next weekend. It probably seems like the <em>fun</em> never ends for you, but enjoy it while you can (don’t know if this senior son is your last one at home). I haven’t fully come to terms with the empty nest here. Christmas break was pure bliss with D and all her friends around all the time… recently we’ve “adopted” a couple of orphan airmen from the base where I work and also hosted the very nice study-abroad son of a CC mom, and that helps, but I think I need to follow mythmom’s example and really jump into making a new life. </p>
<p>It will be dinner time for us around the time you all get together, so I think I’ll pour a nice local Riesling for H and me…listen closely between the good conversation and laughter and you’ll hear our glasses clinking to celebrate your gathering. Cheers!</p>
<p>Well, my computer FINALLY seems to be working, so I just want to confirm that I will be at GCS around 1pm. I am not as familiar with all of you as most of you are, but I am looking forward to matching your cc names with real people. I will be coming al the way from San Diego…and will have my digital camera with me to take photos if you’d like.</p>

<p>I made it!! Despite the dreadful weather in Atlanta, our flight actually arrived EARLY into White Plains!! Then, Avis tried to charge me extra for picking the car up 15’ early!! :eek: Ya godda be kiddin’ me! So the weather forcast for tomorrow (Friday) STINKS, but I DID bring MY boots!

<p>IvoryK- you’ll be there in spirit! I did bring a camera too, but knowing myself, I’ll forget to stick it in my purse. In all honesty though, I would prefer to leave an air of “mystery”. Can’t speak for everyone, but I would prefer that my photo not go out on a big public forum. Thanks, but no thanks. My preference is not to send any pictures around. OK to share fun stories, but no photos. Other attendees-- are you in agreement?</p>
<p>Oh- latest update-- with the weather issues, my cousin is now planning to arrive here after I get back from The City. It’ll all work out.</p>

By the way, Snow Day here today for any schools not normally on break. (I’m not normally on the computer THIS early, but the 5 a.m. snow chain phone call has snapped me to attention.)</p>

<p>I can’t believe how much it snowed! I honestly didn’t expect this. My lovely next-door neigbor is outside using his snowblower to take care of our whole side of the street (the sidewalk, anyway). Now, if only the plows would come clear our street so H can get to work!</p>
