Attn: Those staying up until 12 AM EST to check status

foxfirebass- haha sounds good.

SBtester- hahah back again i see. how was your day? I spent quite some time writing a rant about this whole decision process.

we’ll see what happens today!

If there’s no decision today, I’m going to

uh

Well, I’m not really sure. I haven’t quite gotten that far yet.

ehhh… im wondering if they will actually update on a sunday… i’m pretty unsure of what to go with but (sorry for being negative-i hate people who are negative on this thread) i dont think they will release.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t, too.

Oh well. Good thing I’ve got other stuff to do. ;p

ugh i am legit getting SO sick of this man. like soo sick.

Me too. I’m most impressed with how they treat H&SS / MCS kids.

There are so many better, cheaper schools than CMU it’s not even funny…why do all this bs?

We’re all f***ed.

Tonight is probably the bad news lol

Seriously though, the way they are leaving us out to dry and what happened last year sure points that way.

Lets try and hold onto a glimmer of hope in case things are different.

One thing this has done is I’m considering doing ECE instead of CS if I end up at UIUC.

It sure is easier to go from EE to CS after you graduate than vice-versa.

Exactly. And I do rather love logic…K-maps were a good time.

There’s a Comp Eng track at UIUC where you do CS as well, so I think I might just do that to cover my bases and minor in business.

@futureEE
I have a bad feeling about this too. I think its either all rejects or no decision, but I’m holding on to that thin string of hope too.

haha MCS isn’t even that fantabulous
my mentor (who went to Caltech in the end) said that he was realllly unimpressed with their chemistry department. because apparently its in some dinky shack not even on campus and he didn’t want to walk there in bad/cold weather.

i think he chose wisely to go to sunny california. soak up the vitamin D :D

That’s what I’m saying Tsukasa. If I was doing a science for undergrad, I would definitely just hit up my state school.

1 hour…

Yep… we’ll see

I’m hereee.

Uh oh I applied for MCS. Biology though. :P

I am Schrödinger’s college applicant: both rejected and not rejected at the same time.

Lol I wish they’d end the wait and just tell us already!

Hey firefoxbass, what do you mean about ur HSS/MCS comment?

In a way, I’m going to miss doing this with you guys and gals every night. But I’m sure you would all agree that you would much rather get a decision and end this madness!

Well juliet, while CMU is certainly an excellent school I (personally) would have no interest in going there HSS/MCS. I have to pay full tuition, and there are other schools that I would rather go to that are more well-known in the fields that HSS/MCS fields.

Again, that’s not to say that those programs aren’t great…just that CMU doesn’t interest me at all for them.

My post came off as snobbish, sorry about that. I’m tired, etc
