So, I have scheduled all my auditions at the schools I am applying to but have only received two specific times. I’ve applied to:
Chapman
UCLA
NYU
Marymount Manhattan
Fordham
Point Park
UNCSA

The only schools that have given me times are Chapman and NYU. UCLA can’t even be scheduled until January. However, the other couple have sent me emails saying they’ve received my information but do not tell me the time I need to be there. My auditions aren’t until late January, early February but should I know by now? Or do schools wait until closer to the date? Should I call or email the schools and ask them? Thanks!

Re Fordham

They have changed things this year, but two years ago my S requested his audition date on Sept 1 when scheduling opened and he received an email on Sept 10 confirming the date and giving him a time slot.

If you’ve been waiting for the info for a while and especially if you need to make travel arrangements, you could send an email to theatredept@fordham.edu or call the dept at (212) 636-7562 and ask when you can expect to receive your audition confirmation.

You might want to give it a few days though to see if one of the Class of 2016 applicants posts more recent info!

Good luck! :)

My daughter is applying to Fordham this year. She was given an audition time/date on the same day that she requested her audition. So I agree with sandkmom that you should call them or at least email them to inquire about your audition.

We received fairly prompt confirmation from Fordham. I presume that you submitted your application by the 11/1 deadline for theater performance majors; if so, you should probably contact Fordham. We specified first and second choices for dates, and they replied with date and time.
