I have a HS sr Ohio resident that has a 3.6/3.7 GPA and 27 ACT score, who is also a member of National Honor Society. She is also a rower for one of the top jr clubs in the US and would like to row in college, if possible. She wants to earn a BSN degree in nursing and likes the University of Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Miami U among a few others. Any idea what automatic aid is available to her from these schools and any others that you think might be a good fit. Thanks!
I think that ACT score needs to come way up for any real scholarship $$. 30-32.
Did she look into getting a rowing scholarship? It’s getting late in the recruiting season for seniors. She should talk to her coaches and find out what is still available.

Another option is starting nursing at Marion Technical College and transferring to Marion branch of OSU (only $7,500 for tuition) to complete degree RN to BSN program. Most of the placements are with OhioHealth.
She is entertaining athletic scholarships from a few schools too, but trying to combine academics and athletics for little to no financial burden.
Thank you everyone for your input!
