How about Kate Gosselin on DWTS? Oh my goodness! Who will be watching the kids when she is in LA?

I am happy Evan Lysechek (spelling???) will be on. Not so happy about Jake. Thinking he is more into the fame right now than a relationship.

Boycotting the wedding next week of Jason and Molly. I still think they did Melissa dirty on that show so will not support the televised wedding.

Ali was asked that question about her job when rumors were floating she was the next one. She had stated that she could because the last time she did not read the fine print from Facebook. You can’t take a leave of absence unless you worked for them for a yr, she was not at that point yet, she is now.

I think facebook will have no problem with her taking leave either because it will just increase their own recognition from curiosity now that people know she works for them.

The one thing that got me was when Jake and her addressed the tabloids. I am sorry, but does Jake really buy that she didn’t do what she did to her ex when he was serving in Iraq. The guy is re-married, what is his motivation to say she emptied his bank account while he was gone.

The girl is totally classless and I agree immature. If you watched the show he even told his brothers she was not fully matured yet like the other girls. That speaks volumes! It seemed to me he allowed his sexual desires to determine his wife. Passion is needed in any marriage, but it should not be the basis of your decision when it comes to marriage.

All I kept thinking to myself when I kept seeing her was, COULDN’T YOU HAVE FOUND TIME TO DYE YOUR HAIR? Those roots were like a blinking stop sign, I couldn’t stop staring at them!

Finally, I think Jake is getting to be a media whore. I doubt he will ever go back to flying. He is officially bitten by the bug and has managed to expand his 15 minutes of fame now into an hour. I am thinking he is trying to duplicate the success of Melissa Rycroft, the problem is his image is now hurt because of Vienna. Had he selected Ali or Tenley he would have the chance, Vienna is going to be a weight around his neck.

BTW I loved Aiden Turner on AMC, and I too hope he kicks Jakes arse.

My bet the 1st 2 off the show will be Kate Gosselin and Jake. Both of them have an image issue. Pamela Anderson and Buzz will be the next group.

I think it is unfair that Evan is on, just like I felt Kristi was unfair. They both have dance in their background. Ice Skaters take many hours of ballet, thus, they know how to hold their frame better than someone like Aiden.

I am really excited to see Shannon Doughtery, I know she has always been known to be the bad girl diva, but I think she has the personality to really work hard and will be the one that is the dark horse as far as contenders.

Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls will probably come in with a dancing advantage as well.

I looked at Jake last night and didn’t find hime attractive at all. Both him and Vienna are going to be on Regis and Kelly this morning, I’m thinking I might need to change the channel. :(

Is it wrong to say I’d like to hold Aiden’s frame? ;)

Oh my head is spinning!

Who is Aiden Turner? Don’t even get me started on Kate. Would like to see Evan dance though.

How did Ali get to be the next bachelorette and not Tenley?
I could not stomach Jake. How can he be “in love” with two women?? - puke.

Would you feel this way if he chose Ali or Tenley? If not this proves my point that he will be the 1st booted off DWTS because he won’t get any votes due to how people fel about Vienna.

I think if he chose Ali he would have made it to the top 4. Remember Marie Osmond, her popularity kept her in much longer than her abilities.

DWTS is part dancing and part popularity. More people have an emotional tie for example to Shannon Dougherty than Nicole from the Pussycats, thus, they will pick up the phone and support her, her score could be a pt or two behind Nicole, but the fans win. I think in a way the judges also rig their scores knowing that some should go, but because of the fan base (voters from the week before) they lower the scores to a point that they can’t stay. At least that is my opinion.

This is Aiden Turner: nevermind. I realized my link was to a blog.

I know him from “All My Children.” Google his name under the images category and you’ll get an eyeful.

I think he felt both an emotional connection and a physical connection to Ali, so when she left he had to decide which was he was going to go. He went carnal. Ali should thank her lucky stars she dodged a bullet.

So Jake’s choice aside, didnt agree (but what 30 year old red blooded male wants a 50 year old Mom making that choice for him) but saw it coming from the very beginning. They bonded in a dangerous, adrenaline loaded moment (bungee jumping) and it was cemented when others commented on her and he obviously was attracted to her. What I find fasinating is people’s willingness to go on tv and expose their feelings/hearts etc to the world! I’ve been saying that since the early days of reality tv/talk shows, back when Phil Donohue was starting up…

And how do the legistics work with the Bachelor? They chose then go in hiding and make no comments until the reveal? Were they holed up together? Do they sign a contract to that effect? Vienna indicated that for 3 months they couldnt go out in public… Who pays for everything? Like the ring? Do the participants furnish their own clothes? I find the nuts and bolts of the show interesting?

JAM,

Aidan Turner is from All My Children, he is on par with Cameron Mathison. He only left the show about 4-5 months ago. He was a main character for about 10 yrs or so.

Ali got to be the next bachelorette because she was beloved by the fans, just like Jillian. It doesn’t always go to the runner up, it usually goes to the one that is beloved by the fans.

I do agree…how can you be in love with 2 women? I kept thinking this is what he was really saying…
Tenley: You are the girl for me, mentally and emotionally, but I don’t want to sleep with you.
Vienna: You are the girl I want to have sex with, but mentally and emotionally you are not it.

One he was in love with the person, and one he was in love with their body.

I could never be a contestant on that show, nor would I want our DD on it, because I don’t think a relationship can survive comments like he stated about being in love, or his breakdown of Ali. I don’t think it is the quickness of the creation of the relationship that causes them to break up later, but I think it is how trust is broken when you hear the other speak like they do about others, while silently knowing you are engaged to them.

Personally, I think Jake will break up with Vienna. I don’t think he was or is in love with either. I think he proposed because of the show, and cared more about hurting Tenley. Tenley was in love with him and had the divorce issue, it was kinder to let her go now. Vienna is so self absorbed and immature that she probably never saw the fact that the only true emotion he had for her was physical.

I mean let’s be honest, look at Jake’s family and SIL’s she fits into that situation like an elephant can fit into a mouse hole! Ali and Tenley are the ones that fit there. I think if Ali had not left, she would have gotten the ring. I am not so sure that when the Bachelorette starts filming that Jake will not be the surprise when she is down to the final 3 or 4, like Ed was with Jillian.

I say hat for 2 reasons…One, I think he did propose to Vienna just because. Two, because he is addicted to the media attention, he probably likes being on the cover of People and US magazine.

Logistically for the bachelor, they propose and both go back to their own lives. They of course sign a confidentiality agreement, along with their families.

From what I understand, ABC goes to great lengths creating a way for them to speak frequently through various methods. They also allow them to see each other every few weeks, but never in their hometown or in public…think rented cabin in Maine kind of thing. That is why when Ali was recently caught meeting Jake they made the cover of some tabloid. Everyone already knew that he did not propose to her, and was guessing she was the next Bachelorette, but now started to think he was doing another Melissa/Molly scenario, and that is why Tenley’s name got floated around for Bachelorette.

I recall also when Jason was on after the rose, he stated that ABC did make sure the couple could speak immediately after every episode, and that when it gets down to the final 4 or so, they place them in hotels for privacy reasons.

Was I the only one who wondered how much they paid Neil Lane to show up at St Lucia with the rings? It had to cost big bucks!

I’m surprised so many people liked Ali. She was manipulative and a busy body, and at times, just plain mean. Her obsession with Vienna was strange and her little under the breath barbs were just as immature as anything anyone else did. She seemed much more caught up in the competition than anyone else and just wanted to win. When she saw that she might not win, she took her ball and went home. What was appealing about her other than her “girl next door” looks?

The whole set-up (editing) made Ali the more likable one. Vienna said things like “I want him” “I’m gonna win” etc, like it was in a game. Even her name – Vienna – juxtaposed with her spoiled, pamper ways made the audience (me, anyway) think of that other European city, Paris, as in Hilton. YUCK. Ali was presented as more wholesome from the beginning, and her busybody ways came across as concern for Jake. Plus the other girls didn’t like Vienna either, so it wasn’t just Ali.

Vienna to Jake…one word…albatross.

(Drat, now I’ve proven that I care, and I swear I don’t. I watch. I have favorites. I have moments where I shake my head. I do an awful lot of tsk tsking. But I really don’t “care”. Oh man, now I’m protesting. What next.)

I know what you mean, justaamom!

This season, I was thoroughly disgusted when it was down to 3: Gia, who is gorgeous but whose skeletons in the closet include a soft-core porn video on maxim’s website, disastrous Vienna with the freakish body and the ugliest hair extensions in the world, and insipid Tenley with the annoying voice.

But at the end of the day, I thought Jake’s struggle over Tenley was fascinating. Remember how he continually whined about “no, I’m not perfect, but everyone always judges me that way” when he was on the Bacherlorette? In Tenley, he met his female counterpart: sweet, kind, morally upright, pretty, a little boring. He couldn’t have chosen her, even though she was clearly a match, because it would be like marrying himself. Unfortunately, his attraction to the bad, dangerous girl makes him appear to be a hypocrite.

As for DWTS, I’ve never watched it, but the lure of Evan just might make me add this to my list!

I foresee a lot of extra drama coming into Jake’s family if the two of them get married. Just a guess.

Vienna isn’t the type of wife who will do well left alone by a travelling husband. He’s in for major headaches, IMHO. Also did anyone else think Jake’s mother was putting too much emphasis on how well Vienna would get along with the sister-in-laws? I understand about a family liking a new addition, but it seemed like alot of pressure to me. I like my sister in laws but we’re not best friends. We rarely even get to see each other. Maybe they all live nearby and get together alot. (?)

dke, I don’t think so. She saw trouble when she heard Vienna did not get along with the other women on the show. She made an assumption that this might translate into similar squabbles with the other women in her family. She wants the sister-in-laws to encourage family togetherness, not strife. I think that she was right to be concerned because I see plenty of conflicts to come, but that is my opinion from watching a TV show.
