<p>D is getting married next year and has already decided not to change her name.</p>
<p>Oldest didn’t change her name, even though she married a southerner, from an area where couples are described as " Mr & Mrs John Smith".</p>
<p>If youngest marries her current bf, I doubt she will change her name, as her future mil did not. Although I think a combo of her BFs Japanese name & her own Scandinavian name would be fun.</p>
<p>Well I am divorced as of this morning. The judge and I actually had a brief discussion about the name thing and I decided to keep mine and change it later if I like. I will keep the name both of my kids have, and I will not need to change all my docs until I decide I want to. I’m good with it. </p>
<p>This was an uncontested divorce so it went smoothly and quickly. Thanks for all the advice, and it’s been fun to read all the ways people handle the name thing!</p>
