<p>I didn’t know admissions officers cared about your “intended major”, or weighted it against your transcript. Obviously an intended bio major who failed regular biology will raise a few red flags, but besides that…</p>

<p>Considering the high probability of changing majors, I don’t see why it should matter.</p>
