Not really hostile, but it was all over the place lol. People were looking at indicators 24/7 (e.g. looking at what the housing portal says to indicate acceptance/rejection/waitlist) and I got way too obsessed with them. Everyone kept asking the same question over and over and there was just so much uncertainty. I feel like here is more calm because Barnard doesn’t have indicators.

That sounds like a terrible limbo to be in tbh. Like you’re not sure if it’s just a fluke on the website or your decision so then you’re just sat in abated uncertainty

To be fair, the indicators were somewhat right. They were correct for me and showed some statistical significance in the polls. However, it got a little overboard when everyone started having panic attacks about the housing portal saying “Spring + Summer” or something.
wasn’t there a huge indicator on UCLA or UC Berk or something like that? like it ended up being 100% right?

It made so anxious. With Barnard (even if I am waiting for a no) at least I will get the “healthy surprise” on the moment !

Exactly! With this honors college I applied to they released all the rejections like really late in the day following all the acceptances. It was terrible lol
