Barnard Waitlist 2028

Also, you should definitely put a deposit somewhere else and wait for Barnard decision just in case things change. Whatever happens, we will succeed!

Thank you so much for letting us know!! My daughter is on the waitlist. Her birthday is May 15. It would be a wonderful birthday gift if she is given a spot in Barnard Class of 2028  on May 15.

I got an email from Barnard (the urgent one) on May 6 but the email went to spam and i missed the deadline to confirm my interest. I just emailed them and they reopened it for me to confirm but im guessing this means I lost the spot I had. I’m crushed. Barnard is my dream school and I was literally so close. All I had to do was read the email. And now I have no clue what will happen.

If they opened it for you to confirm that means they still want you

are you sure? im wondering if this will mean i for sure will be in the next wave or if i’m just back in the pool

I’ll repeat what I wrote when you asked the question on Reddit:

Since they reopened the form, I would assume that you’ve retained some priority

Am I sure? No. But nobody outside of admissions can tell you for sure.

Ugh i’ve been checking this thread everyday looking for replies :sob: given the inactivity i’d assume barnard has completed their waves  congrats to all who have been moved off the waitlist and to the rest of us, stay positive abt the future ahead of us! we are bound for greatness wherever we may go

Same here. First thing we do with my daughter in the morning is check this Barnard wait-list thread to see if there have been any movements.

Hey I’m not here to give false hope but I believe they’re still continuing smaller waves (perhaps they haven’t sent one out in a bit) and nobody should give up yet. I think it’s wise to move on and try to forget about the waitlist, but usually students seeking financial aid see some movement later in May and June, so we may possibly get a few admits here and there over the next few weeks. I’ve personally fallen in love with the school I’ve committed to, but of course Barnard is at the back of my mind and I may readjust IF given an offer. They usually will send out a message saying that the waitlist has closed and luckily I haven’t received that yet, so who knows?! But I hope everyone is learning to love the schools that loved them first and I wish the best of luck to everyone no matter the end result :))

I just got an email that said urgent reply and asked the best time to contact me. It said if they have availability they will call me in the coming days? Does this mean I will be called or that they truly are still thinking about it?

Ur in! got the same email

i just got an urgent reply email that didn’t ask me anything about availability for a call but just asked me to confirm my interest in the waitlist? what does this mean?

I would assume that you’re in. I was in the 2nd wave and got in and they asked for a call at the time, but this seems like a really good sign

How soon after the email did you get a call?
