That win seemed too easy.
These games seem so darn sloooooow, especially when I’m switching back and forth to hockey.
So slow! Wish they cold all be earlier or on weekends, I am getting way too tired. :))
The scheduling of the games does make it hard on those of us who live on the East Coast and have to be up in the mornings. Entire offices working off of 5-6 hours of sleep can’t be good for productivity.
Somehow the Sox bullpen morphed from a liability into lights out. Their ERA in the the ALCS and WS is 1.29. Joe Kelly has looked filthy so far in the WS with 4 K’s in 6 outs.
If they can keep it up, LA is in trouble.
Even Price is pitching his butt off.
And the game took only 3:12! That must be some kind of record low for a Red Sox playoff game.
I wonder if they let Madson on the plane back to LA…

The Sox pen has been incredible. Amazing tactic employed by Cora and it takes guts in a non elimination game: The Rover. He pretty much has dedicated a starter to the 8th inning most games. Starter for 6 (if he can), then Kelly, Rover (either Eovaldi or Porcello) for the 8th, Kimbrel in the 9th. He’s used the E man the past two nights so he won’t start until game 4 (unless he uses him in game 3 and then he won’t start game 4 either). Cora’s taken this approach of worry about today today, and deal with the next game tomorrow. Makes sense in the playoffs. If they can go up 3-0 with that formula, he won;t care if Eovaldi ever starts a game.
I’m sure this is old news to most of you AL fans, but I haven’t spent a lot of time watching the Red Sox this season:
Is there a worse fashion choice, like, in the history of the world, than the Red Sox’s season-long beards? Justin Turner’s beard is plenty bad itself, but at least it advertises a high testosterone level. The scraggly stuff on the Boston players’ faces makes them look like teenage yeshivabuchers, which is neither attractive nor intimidating.
Far be it from me to mess with the Red Sox’s juju, which is darn impressive, but those beards are just awful!

And here I was thinking that Joe Kelly was out of his mind for getting a haircut during the post season. But he’s been lights out.
The Sox look better this year than when they looked like a bunch of Amish elders or mountain men back from a 6 month camp out. Mookie, Benny and JD all look good.
Here in the Mtn time zone, we think the start time is just perfect (6 pm). If they started earlier, then the Californians totally miss the game as it’s on during the work day. However, it doesn’t seem to matter as Fox says viewers are down something like 25%.
It’s 2 am and this game still isn’t over!
This is a GREAT game!
Nunez has been literally beaten into the dirt, yet he’s still producing. These guys must all be exhausted.

7 hours and counting and now the 17th inning…this is just insane. And they have to be back in 17 hours for game 4!
