As I said, really strange. Arenado should have transferred the ball from the glove to his throwing hand, either before or after the tag, but they mutually hugged instead. In a one-game playoff, loser goes home, for heaven’s sake.
I want the Cubs to win. I just can’t stand the Rockies dinosaur mascot, Dinger. The mascot literally sits and stands behind the plate when the opposing pitcher is pitching and annoys the heck out of the television viewer. Go Cubs!
I’m rooting for LA-BOS or LA-NYY in the WS, but barring that, I’m on the Brewers’ bandwagon.

If you’re trying to watch a game at Coors Field on TV, then Dinger is just distracting.

Can’t type it here (TOS violation), but John Lester’s post-game comments were an instant classic.
He was right also. He was not happy to be pulled. Never saw him yell at Maddon like that before…
Heh I was thinking about this one: “Sometimes you need to get your [expletive deleted] knocked in the dirt to appreciate it. Maybe we needed that.”
Pulling Lester was a tough call, because he was pitching great and was only up to 86 pitches after 6 innings. They were down a run and needed to produce something. And the pinch hitter actually got on base.
I’m sure Maddon didn’t expect to be scraping the bottom of his bullpen in the 13th inning at that point, but Lester could probably have gone two more innings. Sometimes those moves work, sometimes they backfire.
