My daughter got the holiday email from the admissions counselor yesterday morning and then got the acceptance email at 8:00p.m. Completely unexpected but very excited!
I just accepted last night and I am super excited! I am thinking about applying for round two of the Invitation to Excellence program but am a little confused on what it exactly entails. Can anyone who has gone through the program or knows more about it give me a little bit more information?
You submit another application responding to an essay prompt of your choice out of three they give you. Then, if they invite you back, you have an interview, watch a webinar of a campus tour, and watch a webinar about your college (mine is business). Then you submit another essay in regards to your major I believe (they havenāt given prompts). Thatās all I know so far but thereās info on the website, too!
After applying, my daughter was invited attend a virtual session in January (you select your top 3 sessions based on topics and college/major). I believe after the sessions, students need to write an essay based on the content. The essays are evaluated and then they choose the scholarship recipients.
I got my acceptance letter from Baylor. I applied Early Action. Applied on Nov 2, received email on Nov 19th.
Weighted GPA: 4.6; unweighted: 3.98. No SAT/ACT scores submitted. OOS.
Good luck to everyone.
Any more tips from anyone who has already had their I2E interview? Mine is tomorrow and I am superrr nervous!
@ajwetzel It was a super casual interview. Nothing to be nervous about. They were asking my D why she was interested in Baylor, why she has not accepted yet etc. etc. It lasted for 15 mins.
keep having email for css profile apply, even though I submitted it in the mid of October.
My daughterās CSS profile was sent to Baylor in early October. The financial aid person stated that she can see it in the system and had to request that it be retrieved. That was about 3 weeks ago, and it still says they have not received the CSS Profile. College Board rep says it was sent and received by Baylor the day after we submitted it. Iāve reached out again, but not reply. Iām going to call financial aid if no reply by tomorrow afternoon. Sigh.
D21 applied 10/25, received admission notification 11/24!
Pre-nursing.
72K Scholarship
4.15 W
3.93 UW
+++ athletics/volunteer etc
No SAT/ACT
OOS
Good luck everyone! Hope you get your Christmas Wish!
I got a letter in the mail talking about how hard choosing a college would be from Baylor, it was hand signed but I have not been accepted, does it mean anything?
An updateā¦heard from admissions that CSS Profile has definitely been received, but just waiting for system to update and show up in GoBaylor. I was told that receiving it late will not impact her financial aid award. Whew!
Thank you for the update. Our css profile is still not updated yet, no decision either.
Got accepted about 2 weeks ago. Neuroscience major. Sent application 11/5 and awarded 92k scholarship.
Anyone else get sugar cookies from the admission office?
Nope, but got an email that my child can take a class next semester at $750 credit hour and possibly earn a $2000 scholarship for her Freshman year. Iād prefer the cookies!
haha yes, I just got mine! Definitely a great early Christmas gift:)
We got that offer too. The Baylor courses are synchronous, too, which will be near impossible for my daughter to do along with her HS classes. Maybe our sugar cookies are on Santaās sleigh, lol.
To those who received cookies⦠R u OOS? Do u already receive an acceptance and r u involved in the I2E scholarship program? Hoping I get free cookies as well hahah
@ajwetzel We are OOS and did receive cookies. My son was admitted at the beginning of November.
