Baylor Class of 2025 EA/RD

Does anyone know how many students are selected for the full-tuition scholarship at the Invitation to Excellence?

I don’t know the numbers but I know the odds aren’t great

@welchreject There were over 130 on the zoom for the business faculty session-not to mention many of them were trying to kiss up. This is a very competitive scholarship.

There were 300 on the honors college one

Am I the only one with a prompt that doesn’t relate to my major or session at all? Does everyone get the same prompt?

What was your prompt?

Something about going back in time and what moment I would choose. Idk how this relates to business or accounting. Should I email my counselor?

I got the email to apply for the academic scholarship, but why do they need my photo for the scholarship?

Did you attend a faculty session? I think it’s to recognize your face if you volunteered or asked any questions. I still don’t know how they will remember when there were 130 people lol

i didn’t attend a faculty session, there is “upload photo” part at the application form.

Does anyone know how many faculty scholarships they give out?

Application for what?

So has anyone here committed to Baylor? We are waffling towards a yes, but still unsure.

I’m committed in my mind. My parents want to wait to pay the deposit until I hear from Stanford, USC, UF and the likes, but I already know it’s gonna be Baylor.

Is there any advantage to depositing now instead of early April?

The only thing would be that housing application open in March, so it may be hard to find a roommate and get the dorm you want if you wait until April, which is when Stanford releases.

Maybe you would be invited to attend fun committed student events.

My daughter’s college decision is kind of like the sausage race at Miller Park. She’s narrowed it down to her top 3-ish, and Baylor is neck and neck with another school, and we think we know which one will “win,” but then another school surges back up to the front. Ultimately, if money was no object, I think she would commit to Baylor. We are visiting (in person) two other schools this month. We may try to get back to Baylor in March during our spring break. She said she needs to visit schools again to make her decision. Also, waiting for I2E results on the full tuition scholarship (odds not in her favor, but hoping and praying).

May I ask what is tipping the scales for you towards Baylor? My daughter is also waiting on USC and UF and has no favorite. We’re going in two weeks to visit Baylor in person. Maybe that’s the answer.

The financial aid info will be posted for us by mid-Feb. My daughter got merit aid but it’s not a lot. Did you get a good financial aid package from Baylor? My daughter’s top choices are SMU and TCU, waiting for the financial aid.
