Baylor Class of 2025 EA/RD

Rejected from I2E - Arts & Sciences

Did they send an email? So sorry you didn’t get it, best of luck with other scholarships <3 :frowning:

Thanks. It’s on GoBAYLOR under the Connect & Visit tab.

Just found out in my goBaylor account I didn’t receive it either, but it says I earned something called an Achievement Gold Scholarship- does anyone know what that is? Is that one time $1000 scholarship?

There’s absolutely nothing in my daughter’s GoBaylor account under Connect & Visit - not even (now) a confirmation that she applied for I2E and/or Distinguished Scholars. Anybody else?

I see that too- I’m not sure what it means, so any input would be appreciated.

Everyone who completed a scholarship program (like I2E) earns a one time $1000 scholarship.

Also, Baylor (and a large part of Texas) is dealing with a winter storm and rolling power outages. The Baylor site says that telework and classes are cancelled today. Perhaps this will delay some notifications?

Looking at past forums, it looks like this Achievement Gold Scholarship might be distinct from that but I cannot be sure.

Under financial aid, click on the link to BearWeb (right side of screen). Check your financial aid award and see if this is something different than the $1000 participation scholarship. Hopefully it is updated on your financial aid.

Is anyone’s 1000 participation scholarship in their financial aid yet?

I can assure you that Waco is in total shutdown mode right now. We flew in from Connecticut yesterday for a campus tour tomorrow. Absolutely nothing is open. No stores, restaurants and definitely not the college. We got the email this morning that all tours for the week are canceled. So we are sitting in the hotel wondering where our next meal will be coming from. We ate dinner out of the hotel vending machine last night when we finally arrived after 16 hours of travel. We don’t want this experience to influence our daughter’s decision but this visit is rough!

I was rejected for I2E as well :frowning:
I have not received the $1000 participation scholarship yet, so hopefully that comes through soon.

Hi all. I’ve been lurking for about three months. We just received the no-go on the I2E as well (son has a 1500 SAT score and it’s his top pick, but we only received a 64k academic scholarship, which by the way were told could be stacked.) I did reach out to his advisor because of the mention of the Achievement Gold scholarship in his letter, since there was no amount mentioned. His advisor said this is a renewable academic scholarship, but said that due to the weather it’s causing delays getting everything uploaded. So apparently it’s separate from the 1k participation scholarship. We are waiting on pins and needles because this is his top pick but he won’t be able to go unless it’s a pretty significant scholarship.

My daughter has a notification in her “connect and visit” tab that she was selected for a Distinguished Scholars Day scholarship. However, the scholarship money has not been added to her financial aid amount, and neither has her $1000 for participating. The notification is new to her portal today, so they’re clearly working remotely–or it was set up ahead of time to post today.

I’m so sorry for you! It goes without saying that this is unprecedented weather for Texas. (We live 3 hours from Waco, north of Houston.)

I’m so sorry. We are native Texans and in my entire life I’ve never seen anything like this. I hope you can still manage to get some type of a personal tour. It truly is an amazing campus experience.

The students on campus look like they are enjoying the crazy snow. We tried driving and walking around and I would have talked to people but my D said “no way!” :joy:.

Was this for Round 1 or Round 2?

Round 1.

So sorry for your trip and the timing with the storm! I am so annoyed how hard EVERYTHING seems to be for these kids, even as simple as finally getting a chance to tour one of their schools
it is beyond belief! :pray:t2: :pray:t2:
