BC mentioned in TV show

In the pilot episode of “Covert Affairs,” some off-duty CIA folks are hanging around a bar in the DC area, and they are checking out this one attractive young lady. Their heightened powers of perception notice she’s got a necklace with a cross on it, she’s wearing an antique Irish ring, she’s holding her liquor well, and an LSAT prep book is sticking out of her purse. The most experienced among them guesses she goes/went to BC. A few minutes later they talk to her and indeed she’s an eagle.

So there you have it…the BC stereotype: Irish Catholic lawyer who likes to drink.

Haha I did see this also. The guy who works for the CIA went to BC Law. She was wearing a claddagh ring and drinking… I guess that means BC. I wonder where the writers of these shows come up with ideas.

BC was also on a recent episode of “Friday Night Lights” when one of the girls who is a high school student goes on college visits in Boston. They walk around the BC campus and mention how pretty it is and the mom tells her daughter that BC was always her dream school. That was a good representation of BC.

On “Covert Affairs,” I got the impression that the CIA guy who told the BC girl that he went to BC Law was just BSing her to get his foot in her door (so to speak).
