Beasts of the southern wild

I want to congratulate all you Wesleyan folk on a magnificent picture made largely by Wesleyan grads, including the director Benh Zeitlin. I don’t want to take any of the surprise away from the movie by talking about it too much, but it is one of those films that gets its viewers to see life differently, through a new lens.

Go out and see it!

Thanks for the heads up, Mythmom. Finally got to see it last night. A modern day “Grapes of Wrath”.

Wow, Mythmom. You have interesting friends:

Nominated for best movie and best director! Wonderful!

Saw it last night at the local library. My wife had a hard time as she teaches students of the age of the main protaganist, but we both thought it was an original and imaginative film.
