Bed Bath & Beyond might be discontinuing coupons

Wisconsin! And for a period of time they said there was a policy change and you couldn’t use the expired ones.

I have never had a problem using multiple coupons in one transaction. Our store price matches. If I bring an advertisement from another store they will sell the item for the same price. I find the drug store items priced cheaper than a CVS/Walgreens/Riteaid so I purchase them with coupon here. (drugstore cosmetics, shampoos, toothpaste, soap, over the counter medicines) I have a vacuum I purchased from there. If I ever had problems with it as long as I presented the original receipt they would exchange it for a new one. I also don’t mind buying some of my groceries from their world market section.

Add me to the choir. I’ve used multiple and expired coupons in at least six or seven different states with no issue at all. One of my local stores will actually give 20% off on all wedding gift items even if you on,y have one coupon. The other local store won’t do that…so guess where I go?

You could look at it that they’re doing the same as Amazon did with Prime - pay for the privilege. The problem is that BBB set expectations and created the experience of using the coupons. Amazon never had coupons. It’s the paradigm shift from coupons to paid membership that will kill BBB, just as eliminating the constant sales killed JCP.

The thing that made BBB “different” from the others was those 20 % off coupons. If they want to be like Amazon and others…ill just shop at Amazon or the others…period.

With Amazon Prime, you get access to free shipping on many items, not just housewares, and you also get Prime perks like videos, music, and other stuff. Amazon is able to sell memberships because it is a unique marketplace - a very diverse marketplace where one can buy a cement mixer, cat food, and a lace undie in one click. BBB sells one type of a commodity. The coupons were the “thing” that differentiated it from other similar commodity sellers. A BBB customer would see the coupon and salivate like a Pavlovian dog…
