Berkeley Admissions Released Early?

My name and those of some of my friends are no longer on the database.

thanks for the info. maybe the names still in there are isolated cases… or maybe even grad students

When we post our decisions on the 24th, we should all state whether we were or we weren’t listed on the directory. (only for those who were able to check it before all the names were erased)

Yes impetuous. that would be useful not only to us but to succeeding classes as well, if they get this kind of bug

This is BS. Don’t worry.

I don’t think it was BS.

I don’t know. You expect me to believe that the OP, who made an account specifically for this thread, just happened to be searching in the directory and just happened to notice that the fall admits were being posted? I wasn’t able to search before they took it down, but this whole thing seems a little to fishy. I’m not saying that those who found their names are not accepted, but something tells me that we aren’t getting the whole picture here.

What da hell?
Then explain why I cannot find my name in there.

Biography

Haftbefehl believes that Calnet is not to be trusted.

@Haftbefehl, cause you’re not accepted! hahahaha----- just joking though. They erased all the names yesterday.

obviously, peeps who didn’t find their names are reacting negatively while people who can search their name yesterday would obviously go to great extents to prove this was true. (look at this thread! 428 posts!)

Final confirmation (if there would be no updates on the directory) would still be 3-2 days away. So chill :)

Ey fromcalwithlove you are cute for saying that.
Thanks man.

@Haftbefehl, no prob :slight_smile: you’re cute too

Yes, it is weird that the guy’s username is Calnet. But he did direct us to a LEGITIMATE Berkeley directory website. And it did SELECTIVELY include certain applicants’ names and not others’. It is highly coincidental that he happened to be on the Berkeley directory while our names were up, but how could it not be real? Do you think the user hacked into the directory and somehow added up certain candidates’ names?

Is berkeley known for pranks ?

We get our decisions the day after tomorrow, but I tried to stalk him down.
He blocked his email address and can only be contacted by PMs, but I will try to hunt his IP down and get him sued or something.

@mickjagger, you should at least TRY to explain why haftebefehl wasn’t on the list!!! :)

ACT 36+ 800*8 SAT IIs

Spell my name right woman.

Wow! You SHOULD be in the list! Sorry for doubting  obviously most here are inferior to your awesome stats!

Wait, you also applied to Harvard right? you’re a shoe-in for sure with your stats and awesome ECs!

Top 5%, I think I am pretty average.
