I felt totally overwhelmed after googling the topic, too much advertisements. Can someone recommend an over the counter eye cream? Does not matter if I have enough sleep or not, I always have bags under my eyes, in addition to some wrinkles. I am in my early 50’s, wrinkles can be part of life, but still try to minimize them as much as possible. I do not like greasy product or product with too much fragrance. I don’t use any make-up except moisturizer.

I am using Loreal Advanced RevitaLift Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate, it was on sale. I don’t think it helps.

Frankly, no cream is really going to help very much, despite what the advertising says. For the bags, you’re probably better off using cold compresses, getting a really good concealer and learning how to apply it properly. Judicious use of makeup can really help as well. Some people swear by Preparation H, but the only way to truly get rid of bags is with surgery.

I use a facial cream called Skin Effects. It is sold at CVS drugstores only. I’m seriously doubt it does anything for wrinkles but it sure makes my face feel good. It’s a light cream…smooths on nicely and is not greasy at all. I put it on under my makeup. It is also a GREAT value for the money.

Whatever you do - DON’t fall for the free trial offers (As in those that are popping up on this thread). I had a friend who had a terrible time stopping shipments.

I’ve tried all sorts of products for the dark circles under my eyes. Nothing helps, except concealer! In the hope of preventing crows’ feet and other wrinkling around my eyes, I, too use L’Oreal Revitalift Advanced yada yada. So far, at 55, no crows’ feet or other wrinkles visible except with a strong magnifying mirror. I suspect, though, that the L’Oreal is as responsible for that as it is for the fact that I haven’t recently seen any elephants in my parking lot.

Donna - too funny. But you’re right. I have very few wrinkles as well, but I don’t attribute that to the moisturizer I use (Olay Regenerist). I attribute it to my oily skin and to two parents who always looked much younger than their ages.

I just started using Skin Effects and I, too, like it. It doesn’t get “rid” of anything, but I feel like it plumps up my wrinkles just alittle bit LOL. It’s not at all greasy. I’ve been using it for almost a year and so far I like. I used the souffle in the summer and the daily anti-aging in the winter. I used to use Elizabeth Arden products (Good Morning and Good Night or something like that). But I decided I should use something with an SPF.

I doubt any cream will get rid of fine lines. Have been using various creams, OTC and prescriptions, lines are still there. I heard that a deep facial peel may be able to do that. Have never had one though.

I don’t have any bags- but I have a furrow between my brows from squinting at things ( really nearsighted).
People always think I am worried/mad, when I am just trying to remember where I left my reading glasses.
I am afraid of Botox but boy I would love to get rid of it

I just started using Roc. I don’t expect any miracles , but I need something. I like a moisturizer with sunscreen in it so I never have to be caught without it when you really don’t realize how much sun you are getting. I like the cleanser too. Let’s see if itmakes my skin look younger as it claims

I use intensive eye patches offered by few companies, mostly by Swiss. I put them on few times a week. For some reason they are not sold in this country. I usually buy them when I go to HK from store called Sasa, and now they do have a website where people could order online. I have tried Estee Lauder (you could get it from Sophora sometimes), but it’s not as good as this product. Nothing takes wrinkles or bags completely away, but after I put the patch on I could tell a difference.
[Sasa.com: Esthederm, Repair System Eye Contour Lift Patches (10 pair(s))](http://www.sasa.com/SasaWeb/eng/product/viewProductDetail.jspa?itemno=103280603001)

Skin under my eyes are tighter and smoother. The skin just doesn’t look as dry, therefore less wrinkles showing. I put the patches on before I go out on a big night sometimes, so my eyes don’t look as tired. They run out of it often, so when I go to HK I’ll pick up few boxes. They have other ones in the store that are a lot more expensive, but salespeople told me that this is the best one without going broke.

I got Roc at Costco and noticed a difference- I have also used Strivectin ( also @ Costco) and noticed a difference from that as well.
( guess I need to go to Costco)

I do have some nice undereye bags. I have started using the Olay anti-aging eye roller (no beating around the bush with that name!) and I think it definitely reduces them. You just have to roll the roller under each eye for 30 seconds. My whole regimen: eye roller, moisturizer, foundation, YSL stick concealer under both eyes, loose powder, then YSL Touche Eclat under both eyes. It really does make a difference in the look.

Does anyone know of anything that actually helps with dark circles under the eyes? As I said, I’ve tried a few products that were labeled as being for that, but didn’t notice any improvement. I don’t even remember what they were called; it was a couple of years ago.

Thanks oldfort and emeraldkity4 and dg5052. I have seen strivectin, but want it to hear about if it was effective: I will buy that one next time…and the Olay eye roller!

Even if the Roc products don’t " work " I like the cleanser…it smells nice and I like something that actually foams when I wash. I bought something from Bath and Body Works…I htink Dr Wexler , but I feel like I am smearing something on my face that doesn’t actually clean.

Don’t have much to add <sigh>. As I’ve posted before, I think if there were a magic bullet out there, we’d all know about it. I tried the ROC regimen after being sucked in by their advertising. My latest is based on Consumer Reports reviews of anti-aging lotion and eye cream. My parents relied on that magazine for just about any major purchase, and I do believe they are unbiased. The only ones they found a noticeable difference from were mostly not sold in the U.S., although the Olay Regenerist line ended up on both lists, so that’s what I’m using now.</sigh>
