How do you weigh their ratings?
Depends. How much can you afford? What kind of a student are you? What is the major? What are the career goals? Worth is very relative. For some paying $250,000 is worth it for an LAC degree, a good “buy.” For others a community college followed by a state u that leads to a good job - that was a good “buy,” too.
Are there any “best buy” colleges left?! (wink, wink)
How do we weigh WHOSE ratings?

I sent my kids to a #9(OOS) and #23(IS) on the Kiplingers best value in public colleges. We would have to pay full fare unless the price was low or they got merit scholarships.
