"Best" Double Majors

<p>OK this might seem a little weird but I was just wondering about different combinations of double majors. </p>

<p>Needless to say, the subject in which one chooses to double major depends to a great extent on the individual - his/her inclination towards some subjects. But many a times, the subjects/areas chosen depend a lot on the field in which one aspires to have a careeer. </p>

<p>When i say “best” i mean a subject combination for double major that gives one:

  1. the depth of knowledge required/desired to be successful in that field
    AND
  2. the broadness that enables one to be able one to deal with a variety of issues/problems/challenges that one may face in their career. Of course, all problems are not knowledge/study related, but i speak in general.</p>

<p>What, in your opinion, would be the best combinations for different careers like investment banking, aeronautics, historian etc; in UVA, partly keeping in mind the strengths of the university.</p>
