Best Elementary school memory

Do you have a particular elementary school experience you just love to think about? I remember when I was in 4th grade, when those Vote For Pedro t-shirts were all the rage, I was playing basketball with the athletic kids in recess in an intense 5 on 5 game, full court. It was pretty close throughout the game, and we were actually getting a little too into it. My team was down 1 point at the end of the game and we knew recess was running out of time, so we started to kind of panic or something lol. But a couple minutes later, I saw the teacher getting out her whistle to end recess, and I threw up a half-court fadeaway shot.

It went in as the freaking whistle went off midair.
Gawd I felt like a bad-ass ■■■■.
There were a couple other epic sports moments I had in formal baseball tournaments, but the wildness of that bball game always stuck out for me haha.

I loved our playground. So many fun memories…

And going to the Indiana statehouse in 5th grade.

Playground (we called it the jungle gym)!!

I remember some of the kids in my grade formed this club called the Flamingos - everyone (boy and girl) wanted to be in it lol!

I also remember how we would sit on the carpet, cross-legged, and have read-aloud :)

Once upon a third grade afternoon, my friend and I were taking a bathroom break from basketball practice, and I asked her, “What would happen if we clogged the sinks and left the water running?”. Being the thinker and my friend being the doer, she became inspired by my inquiry and proceeded to clog both sinks and leave the faucets on. About 20 minutes later, some guy came running into the gym, exclaiming that the girls bathroom was completely flooded. I vaguely recall telling my friend that we must denydenydeny any allegations made against us.

We got caught. Fortunately, there was no damage and our punishment was minimal. Needless to say, it was the beginning of an endless series of attempts at bada$$ness.
