Best National Anthem

How could you not like France? Napoleon came from France…

well technically Napoleon came from Corsica

so what did you think of the anthem?

the Iranian one? anyone heard it yet?

here:

<a href=“:: Pars Times | Greater Iran & Beyond”>:: Pars Times | Greater Iran & Beyond;

it sounds very “classical” like you would hear it in cinderella or something…

i just love this anthem…it’s so beautiful…

Actually, Advance Australia Fair isn’t bad, either.

My rankings:

United States of America (#1 - Star Spangled Banner)
France (#2 - Le Marseilles)
Australia (#3 - Advance Australia Fair)

Corsica is part of France…although it was part of Italy at the time of Napoleon’s birth. But it was taken by France when Napoleon was a wee lad! You could say that Corsica is to France as Hawaii is to the US.

No more SAT analogies!!!

the french national antem is definitely good. i just listend to it the first time.

I like the star spangled banner, but it’s too long. Maybe we should change our anthem to “Charge” since it’s much shorter and all the baseball parks already have it preprogramed into their score board.

LOL. The Star Spangled Banner was originally a drinking song of the Society of Poets or some crap like that. “To Anacreon in Heaven” – ugh… I swear, this song is not meant for guys to sing.

The Star Spangled Banner, as played by Jimi Hendrix.

No offense, but the Star Spangled Banner is a piece of ****.

1) U.S.S.R Internationale (Stalin’s era)

2.) East Germany’s national anthem

3.) Mexican National Anthem

4) Brazil’s National Anthem

We should seriously put the Star Spangled Banner in a key that more people can sing in. Possibly the same key Happy Birthday is in.

Lijepa Nasa Domovina (Croatia), now it takes a proud nation to go with a name like that, but we are honest it really is beautiful

Rhizome, where are you getting your information? The Internationale anthem was used during * LENIN’s * time frame and was inaugurated as the first anthem of the Soviet Union.
