So, being a history buff, and really ****ed that my Pride and Prejudice AND Lady Jane DVDs are skipping, I thought why not?
What is your favourite period movie and why?
:]

Should have read the question haha

I guess Glory? I dont know if that even counts.

None of which are period films.
Hilarious, really.

raises hand What exactly is a period film?

haha, i read that really fast and thought you said, …being hillary duff…, i got super confused with the title. i am a big fan of pride and prejudice, its such a pretty movie in general. today during AP lang i could hear the soundtrack playing in a room next door, i wanna watch it so badly now

Dubbly, “A period film is a film that attempts to faithfully depict a specific time period”; i.e. a movie where people dress up and act like they are from a specific era (anywhere from the 1900s (lets use Titanic) to Henry VIII :)

hahaha, oh Hillary Duff, then i’d have more problems than a scratched movie, jk ;).
me too! I wish my copy wasn’t all messed up! Pff.

And yeah, Glory counts. Such a good movie!

Schindler’s List or Full Metal Jacket

Pokemon .

^hellyeah! no period quite like the 90s

Isn’t that about 95% of all movies to begin with? Anyways, since I just watched it, I’ll go with There Will Be Blood. Alot of people I know did not like it; I found it to be very good. Daniel Day-Lewis owns all.
