<p>Hey, so I’m starting senior year and trying to narrow down the colleges I want to apply to, so far all I know is that I want to go pre med. So what are the best pre med colleges in NY? I’d also like to stay on Long Island, or go to the city. My SAT score is 1790 (I plan on retaking in October) and my GPA is 3.5. My biggest problem is that my parents make less than $30,000 a year and so I need a college that will offer me a nice amount of aid, since I don’t wanna be in too much debt even before medical school. Also which colleges have a great acceptance rate into medical school. I know it’s a lot to ask but thanks for your help!!</p>
<p>Try applying to Stony Brook, it has a great medical honors program, but it is highly competitive. But stony also has a ton of pre med students and has a nice rate of students going into med school, stonys tuition is about $7,500 but that’s without books and dorming, if you dorm and account all the book fees, it will run you about $21,000 a year, but stony does give a great amount of if financial aid for students that qualify, good luck</p>
