I would like to know what are the best prep books for each class below and any tips or any expereicnes to share regarding those classes would be great!
AP US History
AP English 3
AP Spanish 4
AP Computer Science
AP Psychology (maybe self study)
Thanks
What is AP English 3? The only AP English classes I’m aware of are AP Lang and AP Lit.
Oh I am sorry I meant AP English Language and Composition, which is normally called AP English 3 at my school.
AP Computer Science A or AP Computer Science principles?
Barron’s is the way to go for AP Psych.
For APUSH, I used AMSCO as a study tool throughout the school year since it’s rather thick. However, for simple cram and review I used REA Crash Course. I also had Barron’s, but didn’t finish reading it since I personally did not like the questions in it (AMSCO in my opinion has the most representative questions of the AP exam).
At my school it is titled as AP Computer Science One. However, which is best prep book for both versions of the class in this case, unless One means A
can’t speak for all of them, but:
APUSH - teacher recommended 5 steps to a 5, BUT i prefer princeton. the former is great for last minute cramming, but for a more comprehensive review, princeton’s was succinct and did the job for me without overwhelming me with information like the barron’s book i read.
AP Lang - to be honest, didn’t really use a prep book for this one…i looked at both 5 steps to a 5 and princeton for this one, and i can definitely say that both would be okay! princeton does cover rhetorical strategies in a bit more depth, though.
