Dear Kyle,

Congratulations! It is our please to offer you admission to the University of Central Florida for the Fall 2013 semester. Ect…

The rest just talked about how great I am how to complete my enrollment process. Nothing came with the package though besides a booklet unfortunately.

here is Cornell ED online acceptance. Pretty generic, but we’ll see what comes in the mail :p… I’ll post that one too. Can’t believe I’m going.

^Yeah, Brandeis only sends out acceptance letters. Honestly, I’m glad. I don’t want to see how much they didn’t like me in writing.

Harvard’s SCEA acceptance email was really nice.

Here is Johns hopkins acceptance letter
It was online

Name
Date of Birth:
Congratulations from Johns Hopkins University!
I’m pleased to tell you that you have been admitted to Johns Hopkins University under the Early Decision Plan! We all look forward to your contributions to the campus community as a member of the Class of 2017. The packet with your official decision letter is on its way to you now by postal mail, but I wanted to be the first to extend my best wishes on such a significant accomplishment.

In offering you admission, I expect that your current academic performance and school citizenship will continue; this offer is contingent upon the successful completion of all academic work you are undertaking in a manner consistent with the basis upon which you were admitted.

Next Steps
To reserve your place in the freshman class, submit your Candidate Reply Form (CRF) and your combined enrollment and housing deposit online on or before January 15, 2013. Simply scroll down this page to access your online CRF. You can pay your deposit online after submitting your CRF.
Remember that, as an Early Decision admitted applicant, you have agreed to withdraw all applications filed with other colleges or universities. Be sure to notify in writing the other schools to which you have applied that you have been admitted Early Decision to Johns Hopkins and are withdrawing your application.
Please accept my best wishes for a great year. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact the Admissions Office if you have any questions. Again, congratulations!

I got a text message that said “Congratulations! You have been accepted into xx College! We are so happy for your. You acceptance letter and scholarship information will arrive via mail the week of Dec 16.”

Is getting a text ahead of time like this common? A good thing or a bad thing?

MIT’s online acceptance:

I keep rereading it… My favorite line is: “Together, you will make all the difference in a world that desperately needs you.”

@tester13 What college was that?

Dante…John Carroll University…near Cleveland, Ohio

Columbia College of Chicago for acceptance sent a little box with awesome graphic design that included stickers, a sketchbook, and postcards!

I got two acceptance letters from Duke today, one from the Dean or undergraduate admissions, and one from the Vice Provos for the Trinity college of Arts and Science. I loved how the one from the Dean of undergraduate admissions says “Duke University is now your University,” it really makes you feel like you’re already part of the family!

Accepted to NCSU this weekend! Acceptance letter is viewable online, but I’m still waiting for my official packet to come in the mail.

Boston College’s rejection was very nice. I’m sure it was pretty generic, but it was my first one lol so I didn’t know what to expect. They basically said they are unable to offer me a spot because of an extremely competitive REA pool, and they know that whatever college I end up choosing I will love it and they will benefit from having me.

Colorado College’s denial letter was cursory, chilly, and just barely courteous. It’s like having the mask pulled back. In fact, it managed to make DS glad he wasn’t going there after all - not an easy task when CC was his #1 top choice, no one even close. THAT kind of letter. Not kidding.

^HEY! Look they mentioned us!

UMass AMherst’s acceptance letter is pretty standard. Comes in a shiny folder congratulating you with a pamphlet on the campus. The invitation to the honors college is a nice bonus.

Chapman is my top school and I’m still waiting for my decision to be mailed! Hopefully it’ll come any day now…
But they do hand deliveries every year, this is their first admit this year:
[Hand Delivery: Chapman Admission - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

One of the nicest acceptances in my opinion! If only I lived close enough to the school that they could do it for me xD

Emerson College sent me a hat with a note that said “Hat’s Off to You” at the top and some encouraging words about my acceptance (this was about 4 days after my actual acceptance letter). Lesley University had a nice admissions letter with standard information in it but there was a handwritten note at the bottom telling me I was I talented writer (I don’t know if this is standard or not).

We thought Williams’ rejection letter to our son was surprisingly strange and came across as arrogant. Instead of nicely saying something like “unfortunately, we aren’t able to offer you a spot”, they said “the admissions committee has decided to not include you”. Odd (not very nice) way to speak to someone. Then later in the letter, they referred to the “precious few spots” they have. And to make it worse, it didn’t address him by name. They had the date at the top and then jumped straight to the letter with no salutation. We were disappointed with the way the letter was put together and really hope that at some point someone there suggests an overhaul.

While the packaging of Bard’s acceptance was nothing fancy (no cookies, no glitter, no shirt - LOL), the wording of it was particularly nice. They started it with “It was a distinct pleasure to read and discuss your application.”. Then it went on to say nice things about his accomplishments, talents, promise, etc. and that they hope he will accept their offer.
