Stanford sent a car window sticker in its acceptance package :)

GATech acceptance packet was pretty bland.

Waiting on my tube from MIT still, hopefully it’ll arrive on monday.

UMass’ online acceptance. I’m wondering what the package will look like

Dear Rachel,

We have reviewed your application and I’d like to be the first to congratulate you on your acceptance to UMass Dartmouth in your first choice major! You will be receiving your official acceptance package in the coming weeks. It contains information that will assist you in taking the next steps as future Corsair!

I am confident that you can make a positive impact as a member of our campus community and encourage you to continue to discover the opportunities available to you here at UMass Dartmouth.

Again, congratulations on your acceptance. We look forward to welcoming you this September as part of our Class of 2017!

Sincerely,

Director of Admissions

Harvard’s acceptance envelope was so nice. Lots of literature about the school, the acceptance letter, a certificate, and a car sticker. A few days later I was sent a card from my admissions officer congratulating me.

The University of Dallas sends a very nice acceptance package. It comes in a box and includes a metal water bottle and an old-fashioned college catalog that includes course descriptions of all the classes. The best part is that in each letter an entire paragraph is devoted to personal comments about what impressed the admissions committee about the student’s application.

Georgetown’s deferral letter was very reassuring. It made me feel a lot better about not getting in and about my chances for RD.

Son got his acceptance from New College of Florida today. First package of out 4 acceptances so far, so that was exciting. The box itself is just plain white, but it was filled with colorful confetti, (cheap but cute) sunglasses, and a pretty neat t-shirt. He must like the shirt because he’s wearing it already. :)

That is awesome. Very impressive. :)

Very nice package fromOhio Wesleyan today: hand addressed envelope inside with an invitation to visit and compete for more scholarships, in addition to the the $20K per year award included. Just a very nice presentation, letter, invitation and outside messaging. Not too flashy, but very, very nice.

Washu’s acceptance package makes me feel like they really care about their students. 2 days after the online notification, I received a UPS express shipping package. Inside, there was a big green binder with the WashU logo on it. Inside, there was a really nice acceptance letter and packets of information pertaining to dates, financial aid, etc.
I hear that after enrolling, students receive another package with a Tshirt, bumper stickers, and a carabiner. Still waiting on that.

Colgate’s Early Decision rejection letter was very well worded. It was basically the Dean saying that he too was rejected from schools and he knows how it feels but he wishes us luck in the future and that it’s not the end of the world.

One of my safeties sent a folder inside a really nice envelope. They also included a bumper sticker and there was a handwritten note on the letter itself. I would say that’s the best one thus far. The rest of the acceptances I’ve received have been quite generic, but hey, they’re acceptances and I’m not complaining!

MIT’s tube is #1, amazing is all I can say.

Georgia Tech sent me a nice admissions packet with some stickers and a quality folder.

Kind of like this? (student video submitted to MIT’s online admissions blog)

WPI sent me a big red envelope with “Congratulations!” on it. Not much inside, a bumper sticker, a couple of brochures and a decent acceptance letter… the fun came several days later, when they sent me a full wall-sized calendar. Not bad WPI.

Skidmore sent me a folder that said “Yes!” on the front. It was very exciting and I liked the presentation. I joke with my sister how funny it would be to receive a “No!” folder. (Just kidding, I’m sure they send a generic letter for the not accepted)

The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor sends an email that directs you to a really cool video focusing on the letter “M”.

So Georgetown’s acceptance letter was basically nothing, but I got a hand written Christmas card.

Remembering back to last year, Chapman, Arizona, and TCU all gave big, splashy folders with lots of bright colors and words of congratulations. Southern Utah’s package was a bit more sedate, but had a very nice letter.

Rejections… Texas State and Emerson both sent out short, brusque emails informing the reader that it’s the end of the line and “you are no longer being considered for admission, please consider one of our excellent and less-strenuous programs for the fall semester”. DePaul and CCU didn’t send a letter at all.

Skidmore did send a nice folder with a YES! on the outside cover . The acceptance letter was also very nice and enthusiastic. Has anyone received the rear windshield Skidmore sticker ?
