Hey guys I’m looking for some inspirational Bible verses to read. I’m not sure how many people on here read the Bible but I’m just asking for some cool verses so no arguing!

1 Corinthians 1:20,25,31 (read together)

“Jesus wept” is the shortest one.

I don’t know what else to recommend other than the obvious (John 3:16, Psalm 23, Song of Solomon, all the “famous” ones). Oh, I like 1st Corinthians 13. My sister recommends Matthew 6-10, especially 6.

There’s one I like, but I’ll probably have to google for a while to find it. I may be unsuccessful. Actually, the one my sister just recommended was the one I was going to go looking for. What a beast.

Judges 12 is very interesting.

“Religion convinced the world that there’s an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there’s 10 things he doesn’t want you to do or else you’ll to to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! …And he needs money! He’s all powerful, but he can’t handle money!” - Carlin 3:18

Please note that I don’t have anything against religion. Take this as a joke.

I enjoy reading Ecclesiastes. It’s pretty short.

Hebrews 11 is another big favorite.

And I forgot to mention Jeremiah 9:23-24.

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:4

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Blessed is the woman who finds wisdom, the woman who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. Proverbs 3:13-18

Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud. Proverbs 16:19

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

Matthew 18:12 and Job 38:12 are two of my favorites.

^Nah, the best verse in Job is clearly 42:14.

Futureexuctive I really like those. To everyone else: I’ll look them up. Thanks!! Anyone else?

Corinthians 14:33-35
God I love religion

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened.”
Take Courage
1 Peter 3:14

1 John 4:19

We love because he first loved us.

Acts 20:35

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Matthew 22:36-39

Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.

-Luke 3:11

“If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.”
-Proverbs 21:13

“He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.”

-Proverbs 31:8-9

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
-Matthew 6:24

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.’”
-Matthew 19:23-24/Mark 10:24-25/Luke 18:24-25

“Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse.”

“The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.”

“Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.”
-Ecclesiastes 5:10

“People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
-1 Timothy 6:9-10

You left out my favorite part on the last one :)

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

^Ah, didn’t realize, thanks for the addition. I just highlighted my favorite of the group I posted.
