<p>It seems like there were lots of bikes for sale (under tents?) along the road near Grounds last year at 1st year move in …my d did not have a desire for a bike 1st year…we were advised most 1st yr. UVA studtents want to walk to classes with friends, so we did not pay much attention to the bike sales…but now as a 2nd year she thinks she’d like a bike…she is off campus and also thinks she’d enjoy taking advantage of weekend trail/mountain biking. Who sold those bikes…the UVA Outdoor Club…or ??? Anyone with recollection, please refresh my memory…Or…What do you all recommend as the best method to buy a good used bike in Charlottesville in August?</p>

<p>That would be nice, but if push comes to shove, I’m sure you could slip down to Target or Wal-Mart and get a made in china piece of (insert adjective) bike that does the trick for under $100. </p>
<p>I’d love to bring my high end street bike, but traveling across the continent with a bike isn’t practical.</p>
