Thanks for suggesting TRYING on Apple TV, light, uplifting, made me laugh, enjoyed those characters season four coming in May
It’s excellent . I was surprised I got hooked.
Extended Family isn’t bad. The characters are likable. We’ll continue to watch it. We watch a lot of network sitcoms
Started watching last night. It’s SO good.
We watched the first episode of “One Day” last night. I liked it, but my husband was not too impressed. But I’ll insist we continue it anyway since he didn’t hate it, and so many people give it a thumbs up.
We finished True Detective Night Country last night. I wasn’t impressed. Season 1 of True Detective is an all time favorite of mine. I got through 3 episodes of season 2 before I quit. I never even bothered watching any of season 3. They sucked me back in with Jodie Foster in season 4. Now I’m officially done with the series going forward.
I have watched the first two and it really isn’t drawing me in. I will give one more a chance to see.
“One Day” (at least episode 1) got bonus points for scenery. Our son had considered semester abroad in Edinborough, and we were so excited about a possible trip to visit. (He ended up in Singapore, which worked well for him.)
We started One Day this week and are enjoying it! Even had a couple LOL moments (Mexican restaurant scene). I like Emma, we like listening to her voice.
We couldn’t place Dexter, so I had to look him up today, he was so familiar. He was in the Second season of The White Lotus
We started watching The Tourist and enjoyed the first few episodes more than the last. They seemed to get a bit ridiculous. But we’re in and will continue watching Season 2
I recognized the hotel we stayed at in Rome in the scene where Dexter walks his mother back to her hotel. The front is covered in ivy or some kind of greenery so it’s easy to notice. That was neat!
That is so cool! I did like the Rome scenes and makes me want to go back to Italy. Is that the hotel de” Fiori, next to the Campo de’ fiori?
I just googled it and I think that’s it! Hotel Campo de Fiori. When we were there the first time, our choices were this hotel and Albergo Del Senato. Del Senato won because it’s right next to the Pantheon…but this had a better $
Yep, it’s the Hotel Campo De’ Fiori. It was gorgeous!
I started watching “One Day” last night. Pretty short episodes. I see there are 14 episodes. Are we going to get through all the “years” this season?? (if that’s considered a spoiler, apologies - I don’t think it is!)
I’m pretty sure there will only be one season.
I watched a few more episodes of “One Day”. It is growing on me. I like that they are short as I usually watch K-Dramas which are like an hour and a half each episode.
I watched the first two episodes of One Day last night (after seeing it recommended on this thread, of course). I really wanted to let it roll to episode 3 but I was afraid it was one of those 6 episode shows and I’d be done as soon as I started. Nope, 14 episodes so I can stretch it out for a few more days. I rolled to episode 3. It’s cute. Sort of reminds me of Never Have I Ever.
We are loving “Trying” so much. Thanks for the heads up for this one.
I’m one of the many people who mentioned “Trying”. What I can’t figure out is why I never hear about it elsewhere. “Ted Lasso” (which we also loved) gets sooo much press and conversation.
Another toy that was at my house for years before I even had kids was a toy cash register. I don’t know what the attraction was but kids from 2-10 loved it. I had some fake money but some real money too (supervision required for the littles). I also had a coin sorter that probably coast about $2 and that always got a work out too. It was like a slot machine and the coins took a short trip to the sorting row and they just thought it was so cool that the quarters knew which row to go into and so did the pennies.
The cash register was so popular that I had to get another one when I had 2 kids.
