Binge watched tv shows (Part 1)

I was able to watch it on YouTubeTV and we don’t pay for it extra (paramount). U less I’m getting it free somehow.

I just looked and Paramount is part of the YT TV basic lineup. I am pretty on top of any extras I pay for and would never have sprung for Paramount. Your comment, however, reminded me to check my subscriptions as it’s been a while. Thanks

In case anyone is still confused - the Paramount Channel is part of the YTTV lineup. The Paramount Plus streaming service is a separate thing.

Anything that’s broadcast on the Paramount Channel, a YTTV subscriber can “dvr” and watch later. (Or watch “on demand” but then you have to put up with the ads.)

Bad Sisters season 2 started this week, if anyone is interested.

I’ve been watching. It’s definitely not as strong as the first season, but still pretty good. I’m happy to see Fiona Shaw added to the cast. She’s a treasure.

I watched The Day Of The Jackal last night - it’s quite good! It’s on Peacock.

(If you haven’t seen the trailer, don’t watch it - like many trailers these days it reveals more than it should!)

There is an Alex Cross series on Apple TV (corrected - It’s actually on Prime).

I was just about to post the same thing. I’ve read all the books, and enjoyed them for what they are. I’m only 2 episodes in and so far, it’s OK. But for the genre on American TV, it’s inferior to Bosch or The Lincoln Lawyer.

I may change my mind after I see the rest. All episodes are available now.

Can’t find Cross on Apple ? Not sure what I am doing wrong ? Do you have the exact title ?

Edited - Found on Amazon Prime - Cross.

Sorry - I corrected above. It’s actually Prime Video.

New Season of The Law According to Lydia Poet. A HIGHLY fictionalized story of Italys first female attorney who became a lawyer before women had the right to vote and who was not really permitted to practice. It’s a very uplifting story on top of a regular procedural/mystery.

Some Yellowstone spoilers, so beware.

The tribute to Billy Klapper was very cool. You could tell right away that he wasn’t some octogenarian cast to play a cowboy. He was authentic.

Babysitting at S’s house this week and the cable is problematic. I binged Nobody Wants This over 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Probably a sign of my age that I really enjoy programs that are 30-ish minutes or less.

My husband and I liked Nobody Wants This (Netflix). We like that type of short, easy watching show at the end of the evening. We use lighthearted shows like Trying and Shrinking (I think both on Apple_ and Prime) the same way.

Currently my exercise show, since hubby was not interested, is Dead to Me (Netflix). It has a rather crazy plot, but the characters and relationships are interesting. I especially like the way that different music is use, from various genres and timeframes. Today it made me think that it has been a really long time since I heard “Seasons in the Sun”.

Absolutely beautiful dresses and makeup. It’s hard to read the closed caption and adore her dresses at the same time.

Watched all of those, enjoyed them all. Season 2 of shrinking is what we have left.

OK. I finished the season. Cross does pick up after episode 2, but there was probably one subplot too many. It was almost like when I watch Shetland and have to get the whiteboard out in order to keep track of all the characters and subplots.

But it was OK, not great

lol. Im lucky to be a VERY fast reader.

Btw, about Shetland S2-without-Douglas Henshall, no need for a dashboard so far :grinning:

Really??? While less confusing than earlier seasons, I still had to get out the whiteboard. The Annie Bett arc is pretty straightforward, but I am getting confused with the ancillary characters.
