Binge watched tv shows (Part 1)

Err, I may have missed something, I thought there was just the Annie Bett story (and her not lover French guy and her husband.)
The accents seem stronger this series or perhaps I forgot from last year.

Subtitles are your friend.

We finally had to change to English instead of Italian with English captions. Just too fast on episode 3. We kept going back and trying to read the captions.

Has anyone started watching Season 5 of Yellowstone? We watched the first 2 episodes and I’m disappointed. Does it get better?

I don’t even remember Part 1, but I’m enjoying Part 2. I’m getting so sad only 4 shows left.

Quite the cliffhanger at the end of The Diplomat Season 2!

Finished the most recent Cobra Kai season…whoa!!

Just finished Pachinko, season 2. So good! Hoping it gets renewed for season 3. So many questions left unanswered.

Quite the cliffhanger at the end of Rivals season 1!

We just binged the new Netflix show staring Ted Danson called Man on the Inside. We loved it and hope it will be a continued series. Light, fun and we are now in the demographic that enjoys seeing older people making new friends and having new adventures. For fans of the
Thursday Murder Club books by Richard Osman - I think you will love it, even though it has nothing to do with the books and just the same nice feel

:star_struck:Just read about it and had it on my list - especially after reading The Charity Shop Detectives (because I’d liked The Last Word by Elly Griffiths) which had a not too dissimilar premise, ie., old people full of wit and old references try to figure out what happened when someone they know is murdered. The odd effect is that it makes semi-old age not as depressing and old people not as close to death as you’d think.
Tursday Murder Club on my reader ready to be read :sunglasses:

We just finished the current season of The Lincoln Lawyer and enjoyed it. It is a win when H and I enjoy the same show! Looks like it has been renewed.

I like it but dislike the love interest parts (I’m a big murder mystery reader but have stopped reading certain authors for this reason, do not like a love story).

Continuing my trend of being WAY behind the cool kids, I was looking for an easy family drama type watch so started Virgin River and am on the second season. Sort of like a step above a Hallmark movie so far- that’s ok. :). And I see that there is also another season (like 6 or 7?!) coming in December - so I’m SORT OF trendy!

I was just going to post about Man on the Inside. It’s from Mike Schur - The Good Place, Parks and Recreation, etc. A funny, gentle comedy with lots of older actors I recognized. I’m really enjoying it.

I’m also liking St. Denis Medical on NBC. Not as good but funny enough. I’m a sitcom person so I’m always looking for new ones.

I discovered Virgin River this year. It was mostly my exercise show (after I ran out of Grey’s Anatomy, Schitt’s Creek, Grace and Frankie, Gilmore Girls), so while I wait for the new season I’ve been going through Dead to Me.

Ted’s character is a retired structural engineering professor, just like my dad. The ladies like Dad, too.

That’s exactly how I’d describe it, edgy lifetime movie. The scenery is gorgeous. It was also a treadmill show for me, which means it’s something I enjoy watching, but might not appeal to H.

I also kind of love that Tim Matheson - who I haven’t seen in years but who of course I remember from younger roles - is alive and well (at least in season 2!) and in fact exec directing a lot of the episodes. And yes the scenery is breathtaking.

We continued watching Yellowstone Season 5, and have seen all the episodes that were available. I thought the season started slowly, but IMO it got more interesting with each new episode. Kelly Reilly (she plays Beth) does a great job this season.
