Just started The Pitt after reading this article. Doctors Agree: Finally, āThe Pittā Is a Medical Drama That Gets It Right - WSJ
Format is like ā24ā but in an emergency room setting. Love the jargon and procedures even though they are pretty alien to me.
finished the series finale. not necessarily a segue to:
Stick with Dead to Me!
As I recall, at first I thought it was a depressing show about a woman who lost her husband - it is not! The crooked humor comes. I ended up really liking season 1 and 2 but I donāt think I finished season 3.
Season 3 of The White Lotus starts tonight HBO Max
H and I decided to wait on it since itās only one episode a week.
We are waiting also.
DARN, my kid ended his subscription. Youāll have to let me know how it is.
Well, itās only one episode in, but so far itās living up to my general comment about third seasons - rarely anywhere near as good as the first 2. Iām a huge Mike White fan, but itās been pretty formulaic so far. But there have been a couple of surprises, at least for me
Survivor returns to CBS next week; Amazing Race returns one week later.
Weāre still really enjoying Paradise. I think this weekās episode is where we see if it jumps the shark or not.
Just finished watching Season 6 of C.B. Strike, the Ink Black Heart. It was boring. I so looked forward to it and it disappointed me.
I hope Season 7 will be better. One can only hope.
We are in Maui now, and walk by the Hotel in Wailea where the first season was filmed most days. I think it was the Four Seasons, but we walk to the end of Wailea, so Iām sure we walk by it :).
The Ink Black Heart as a book was boring and predictable so no surprise the show was the same. However, the next book was pretty good so thereās hope for the show maybe.
Finished bing watching season 2 of Boarders - not as sharp as season 1 but still good.
Started the slightly bilingual Canadian show Saint Pierre - located on the French archipelago off Newfoundland, with French local cop and exiled Canadian cop (he shamed a powerful guy his ex wife is with, very publicly, at his kidsā school, and was wrong.) kinda Death in Paradise meets Shetland, perhaps a bit lower budget.
I thought it was okay.
There should be one more and the next novel was terrifying.
I do dislike the will they wonāt they because itās been going on for too long and itās gotten annoying rather than tense or endearing.
I did not read the book. Glad to know it could be better.
Sometimes, I like the books/novels more than the show. Vera is a good example. There was more about the characters, esp. Vera and Joe that I like in the book than what was shown on TV.
Slow Horses, both the book series and the show are very good. I gave the casting director a thumb up. He/She has chosen the main characters fitting what described in the book. (Not like Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher).
@MYOS1634 - My thought exactly re. Strike and Ellacott. The will-they, wonāt they (getting together) has gone on too long and lost its charm.
Reading complaints that fans are finding the new Inspector on Death In Paradise very unlikeable. The thing is, the previous 4 were also unlikeable, and they warmed up to life on the island.
The character or the actor? Or both? Was not a fan of either when he was in the EastEnders.
Iām watching a cheesy dating show, āUltimatum,ā because my physical therapist told me itās set in Austin. In one episode, a couple goes to this restaurant that Iāve been to many times. Itās fun, set way up on a cliff over the lake. But I noticed this couple was sitting at a table with a white linen tablecloth. WTH? Totally out of place, ha.
In another episode, a couple goes paddle boarding on the river very close to where DH proposed to me, 40 years ago. Kind of surreal.
