Where are you watching it at? My dh and I have been watching it on the Max app. We just finished episode 10 and haven’t seen one commercial.
@O2BonCC , oh, oh, I didn’t even think about it being a regular old show, LOL. Thanks.
I’m really liking Doc, based on an Italian show based on the true story of a doctor who got into a car accident and due to concussion/head trauma lost memories of the past 8 years. When she comes to, others don’t trust her as a doctor, she’s forgotten the person she loved (?) or that she was divorced, a colleague has a vested interest in her not remembering something he did, etc.
On good old TV networks - Fox
Hacks season 4 is coming in April, really love this show.
Since season 3 ended conclusively, I wondered what they could do… and creating a women’s team, especially considering the level of the (actual) National team and it’s passionate following, is a really good idea that doesn’t require any retconing.
I thought the ending of season 3 was a great finale, I love the show so I hope it works.
I read somewhere that he will be coaching a women’s team, which the final episode hinted at or alluded to.
I’m really loving Pitt, it’s the best medical drama I’ve ever watched (and I’ve watched a lot). It’s making my other hospital shows look bad.
I am enjoying Running Point on Netflix. Kate Hudson is basically playing “Penny Lane” from one of my favorite movies, Almost Famous, except 20+ years later.
I am too, but I could have lived without seeing last night’s birth scene.
I haven’t seen last night’s episodes but have seen hints of it. My cousin is actually an ED doctor in Brooklyn and has stories. Call the midwife is also one of my favorites so I think I can handle it (by looking away, just like I did with my own births).
I never gave birth (parent by adoption) but I thought it was interesting. You can always look away. And of course (for now at least in the land of make-believe), they all lived happily ever after.
and @skieurope I hope you don’t hit a paywall here:
CTM is one of my favorites as well, but those birth scenes are tame in comparison.
I’ve seen a lot of things IRL, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want a warning before I see it on the big screen.
I’m so glad I’m getting the tea on this epi, many times I watch Pitt without H, he’s not a fan of these shows, but he’s watching this one (I’ve watched some bizarre shows with him, he owes me).
Big plus for me is the humor in the show, and how the CIA legal group is depicted as near dysfunctional, with those working there wanting to know as little as possible.
Just binged it recently. Loved it, and IMO, it gets better as it goes, not tired like some shows.
A show I discovered recently was The Unforgotten, a Brit procedural cop show. No car chases, no guns, no manipulative rape scenes… just a really good show. The lead, Nicola Walker is great, but there isn’t a weak spot in the show, IMO.
Watched Suits LA. Doesn’t compare to the original, but I am giving it a bit of time. I like the lead(Ted), but am missing the humor of the original, and so far the other characters seem seem pretty uninteresting, if not cringingly bad(Leah). Where are the Mike, Donna, and Louis type characters? Seems like the writing, and maybe casting, is less than it could be. Apparently Harvey Spector and Louis Litt will be making appearances later on.
I’ve recently been bingeing Younger. I missed it when it first aired (2014-2021). I’m really enjoying it.
We watched the first episode of The Pitt - it was way, way too graphic and realistic for him. We need to find something else to watch. Currently we are watching For All Mankind which is great, and The Manny which is pretty silly. I find the kids hard to understand so it’s less good for practicing Spanish than some of the shows we watched previously. We really enjoyed Attorney Woo and really all the Korean shows we’ve watched so far.
