Binge watched tv shows (Part 1)

2 non graphic medical shows:
St Denis Medical, on NBC (really a workplace comedy)
Doc, on Fox (the cast is very good; main character has serious car accident, wakes from coma to find she’s forgotten anything that’s happened since March 2016.)

I’m 3 episodes in and enjoying it more than I thought I might.

Just finished Adolescence on Netflix. It was gut-wrenching, with excellent acting. Stephen Graham is outstanding.

I just binged this show (Younger). Light hearted , short episodes - good for what I needed!
Started watching it because the actor who played Charles was in Blue Bloods.

Peter Hermann was also in SVU (I didn’t watch Blue Bloods), and he is married to Olivia Benson/Mariska Hargitay IRL.

We started Kate Hudson’s new show Running Point on Nextflix last night. So far we are enjoying it.

We just got BritBox so we could watch more Shetland, but I don’t know what else is good. I really can’t bear more of Father Brown (DH is a fan)

We recently binge watched not only the Kate Hudson show, but also the last season of Cobra Kai (which was just really bad, but we watched the entire thing).

Blue Lights: 4 rookies walk the beat in Belfast, Northern Ireland - very engaging
Death in Paradise : it’s a wonder tourists keep coming to this paradise island considering how many people get killed there :joy: (cozy mystery/comedy)
Beyond Paradise : officer who hated the heat&sand in “Paradise”(^) now lives in Cornwall with fiancée (very cozy mystery, sea shanties in the first eps)
Vera : curmudgeon older DCI in Northern England - a classic you can start from any episode
See if you can find Line of Duty (and get ready to be living/breathing LoD…), Bodyguard, The Fall.
? ** After the flood** : torrential rains lead to a flood in a small town and a body is found in an elevator

Ugh–Father Brown used to be passable, but replacing the acerbic Mrs. McCarthy with those with Brenda and Isobel makes it cringe-worthy–the newbies are such terrible actors.

Sid was also a good character that is missed.

And, after all these years, the writers are running out of ideas—many new episodes have a plot line that are quite strange.

It’s interesting how the lead actor, Mark Williams, loves this role so much that he would make the producers of the Harry Potter movies work around his Fr. Brown schedule. (He played Mr. Weasley)

If I were in charge of a travelling circus/art exhibition/TV show/Book signing/etc, I would certainly avoid Kembleford, with a murder rate of 1/week

Kembleford, Costwolds, and Cabot Cove, Maine have the highest murder rates per capita in the world, apparently. Along with the Caribbean island of St. Marie.

Plus the town of Dolphin Cove in NSW, Australia, and the aptly named Cotswold village of Great Slaughter

Wow. Just watched Adolescence on Netflix - there’s an interesting 13 minute behind the scenes on YouTube that was fantastic.

This is a show I’ll be talking about for a while.

Yes, what a show. @Youdon_tsay was right when she said the third episode is some of the best acting ever.
