Just finished No Good Deed. I initially had trouble staying with it and had quit. Dark and hard to care about anyone. I decided to give it another try and felt it mostly improved as it went along. I guessed a lot before the last couple episodes, though not all until before the last one. Good acting, some good dialog and scenes. Major plot holes, and very serious situations would just disappear from the story with no explanation. Ray Romano and especially Lisa Kudrow were very good.

Anyone watching The Pitt on Max? I thought this week’s episode was just too much. You’d think the staff would put on new paper gowns (or at least turn them inside out) between patients. Nosocomial infection, anyone?
I( know we’ve got some doctors and nurses here; I’d love to read what they have to say. I worked in hospitals a zillion years ago and was in the ER a couple of years ago. No mass shooting but two years into Covid which is what brought me there.

I’m so glad the final season of The Righteous Gemstones just dropped. I just find it the one show that makes me want to jump on the treadmill. It’s so ridiculous that you can’t look away.

Just got finished watching Season 5 of the Handmaid’s Tale, getting ready for the new one to drop! Wow, it was really good!

I’m in the middle of binging The Residence on Netflix. It’s a comedy murder mystery, set in the White House, 8 episodes. It’s fun so far. If anyone liked The Afterparty, this might be for you.

I’ve been watching The Wheel of Time because I like all the fantasy type shows. But I never read the books so while I greatly appreciate the production values, I am often totally lost! I gather the current Season 3 is the best, and this week’s Episode 4 is receiving high praise. I go to the TV boards and read reviews after watching to help me understand what the bleep happened.
Also continuing to watch Reacher and I think we finally reached an episode where he does not take most of his clothes off.

I never read the books either and am having the same problem. I usually end up doing the same. I refused to read the books when the rest of the family was, because there were so many of them and it wasn’t clear the series was actually ever going to be finished. Everyone else in the family reads much faster than I do, so they are less bothered by door-stopper series. I do like the characters. We just watched Episode 2 and I seem to have missed some pretty critical things!

I have read the books, though it has been quite a while, and I still have to reference the recaps occasionally. There is just too much in the books to be effectively conveyed onscreen… and they are sizeable books. Nonetheless, I am enjoying the show, but I would be lost without having some knowledge of the story.

I just finished Adolescence to. Great acting all around. Agree that Stephen Graham was outstanding!

We just finished Severance and Paradise and enjoyed both. We are starting Adolescence and the new season of White Lotus.
I am enjoying season 3 of White Lotus much more than season 2. It’s more of a slow burn. Season 2 was just too much in my face with the sex and bad behavior - just too over the top unbelievable. I was just constantly annoyed with the characters. This season is the cast is really superb.

It just goes to show how everything is subjective. I loved White Lotus Season 2. Season 3 is putting us to sleep and we find it boring. Hopefully the last few episodes something might happen. I’m finding it hard to connect to any of the characters. The only ones I’m interested in are the 3 girlfriends.
