Me too on Rogan.
Yes. Great show. And the new season starts this week.
If youâre a science fiction fan, Foundation on Apple TV is another good show. We also liked For All Mankind and Murderbot.
I stumbled on a show called A Place to call Home. Australian, set in 1953 with a rich family dealing with post war issues (and of course the history), a nurse, and the townspeople. It showed there were 6 seasons.
I liked it but during season 2, there was an episode that tied everything up and at the end it said âThe End.â And then there were more episodes I could pay for. It turns out that the show was canceled during that second season so they tied up all the story lines and, well, The End. Then some company must have picked it up and they kept going from there, for 4 more seasons.
I liked it but Iâm not paying for the rest. Maybe Prime will add more episodes.
I stayed up until after 3 to watch the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty so it wouldnât be spoiled for me. So glad I did.
But in order to stay up I started The Girlfriend on Amazon Prime. Itâs only six or seven episodes, but itâs wild already. Overprotective mom played by Robin Wright is suspicious of her 27yo sonâs new gf.
Later today, dh and I will watch newest episdoe of OMITB and start the new season of The Morning Show!
Unrelated, but related, sad to see that AppleTV is increasing their rates to $12.99/month. I may need to figure out if I can cram some watching in (unlikely) or cancel till after the first of the year when itâs winter and maybe have more time to watch .
I just realized Iâm not watching much there right now. Will cancel and come back for new seasons of Ted Lasso and Shrinking next year
I believe this show is âHardacresâ.
.
We will sign up for Slow Horses, Season 5 drops on Sept 24 and will try to finish Severance to find out why itâs gotten so much praises. So far, I hardly got through the first two episodes.
Try and stick with it - itâsâ not my type of show - at all - and I was mesmerized. It scared me though so I had to space out my watching, lol.
YesâFreudian slip on the keyboard, or autocorrectâŠ
I watched the finale of the Summer I Turned Pretty this afternoon. The cast will be on the Today show tomorrow morning.
As much as I was #team-neither-one towards the end of the season, I didnât hate the ending lol. It was a nice way to wrap it up.
I read up on the finale but gave up watching earlier this season. Also gave up on The Sandman and Untamed before the end of the seasons so I guess I am less patient than I used to be.
I hated Foundation, both because it had almost nothing to do with the books, but also because plotwise it made very little sense. Maybe it got better, but we gave up on it. Agree with you that For All Mankind and Murderbot are great. Have also been enjoying Star Trek - Strange New Worlds.
Finished The Girlfriend. Episode four took a wacky turn, but I was too deep so stayed with it. Not sure Iâd recommend it, but itâs somewhat entertaining.
FYI: If you have a TMobile cell plan, Apple, Netflix, and Hulu are all free.
Nice perk! Unfortunately we have Verizon.
If you buy enough from Target with their card, you can get 6 months of AppleTV+ free, plus Apple Music.
Stated the Charlie Sheen documentary (Netflix). It includes commentary from Nicholas Cage, Sean Penn (childhood friends), an ex-wife and one sibling. So far, so good.
We started Black Rabbit on Netflix but found it to be very dark. Not sure if weâll finish the series.
