Hearing Stay’n Alive is like flipping a switch for Det. Wallace. Well played by Dexter.

I’ve been getting into Terminal List: Dark wolf the past couple weeks. Like the original Terminal List, Dark Wolf is a great action thriller that is more realistic and has higher production values than most movies and shows in the genre. I am a big fan of Jack Carr, and I hope that they serialize other books from the Terminal List series.

I watched 4 episodes of The Studio and gave up. I’m just not a Seth Rogan fan.

I watched Severance instead and finished it. Very weird, but I thought it was good.

We still have time left in our free 3 months of Apple TV. Trying to decide if I should try The Morning Show. Any other recs? I already watched Shrinking and Stick.

I don’t know what you’ve already watched on Apple TV, but Ted Lasso and Slow Horses are a couple of our favorites. Presumed Innocent was pretty good. Bad Sisters was entertaining enough.

I had the same reaction to The Studio and almost quit watching. The last two episodes comprise one of the best and most hilarious finales of a series I’ve ever seen. Bryan Cranston is amazing in them.

It’s not far off the mark in depicting Hollywood life.

Thank you for your suggestions!

We did watch Ted Lasso maybe a couple years ago and loved it!

I just got caught up on The Summer I Turned Pretty. @Youdon_tsay I decided I’m Team Benito, lol

Started The Wiseacres on Britbox. Imagine the Beverly Hillbillies being Irish fishmongers in 1891, who work hard, scrape up a few bucks and invest a bit of money and strike it rich.

They purchase an estate and of course the resident downstairs staff can’t stand them, etc.

Light escapist fare, 2024 Irish production, 6 episodes. Two are out now, with one released every week.

Looking for a new series to binge (we just finished 8 season of Castle). A friend of mine recommended Sirens. Anyone watch it?

I did, and watched it to the end, so definitely better than some other series. It is advertised as a comedy but is more of a black comedy. Certainly fun to see the sets and costumes!

I really enjoyed The Paper. They did a great job of developing almost all the characters over the 10 episodes so that I like almost all of them now even though I was meh or disliked them at the beginning. Humor and heart and lots of quirkiness (could tone that down some).

It was pretty “silly” but we did finish it. It wouldn’t be in my top recommendations, but doesn’t hurt to try it out.

I enjoyed Sirens.Dark comedy, fun to watch.
