Biology SAT II POST-EXAM discussion!

was the insect question the LAST question on the test (#80)?

anyone out there take E besides me?

SWEET! I put UV Radiation is protected by stratosphere :)

woo! I kinda wish I did Bio-m now

The last question of E, 80, was about the pond water and hay thing, what was not true about it, and I believe the answer was that species 1 did not prey on species 5. I put UV radiation too. What did you say for the one about mass extinctions?

But what can you really do? I might have done slightly better on M, but oh well… E wasn’t too bad I suppose

I remmeber a question on e… it was on deteresomes or something… I put that it determined where the mouth/anus would eventualy be. Is that right?

heh, I skipped that one

Yeah, thats what I put too for prot/deut

for those who took M: what was the last question of the section (#80)?

It was like prtostomes and deuterstomes or something like that…I had no idea, so I just skipped

wouldn’t the last question be 100 on the M section??

yeah, that is what I meant: number 100!

100 was what do insects detect. I put infrared. It’s UV.

EDIT: I think the reason that E has a more lenient curve than M “even though it’s easier” is BECAUSE it’s easier, and therefore people who aren’t confident on the hard m stuff would spontaneously flock to E. So the average preparedness of M people in general would be higher, and therefore the curve is harsher.

Another question under the albino question was if they had another kid what chance did it have in being albino.
the answer was 50%

nice, i got that too, add to the list! 2 more!

yep me too! omg i bet CB never would of thought that students will be able to assemble a list of the questions and answers for a sat test lol! wtg CCers!

does anyone who’s taken the bio sat before have experience with the curve? b/c that curve posted by college board seems way too lenient

but that was released by the collegeboard right? i would expect it to be only a little harsher than that, since everyone’s consesus is the test was relatively easy.

Ok, i know this question was discussed earlier, but i still dont agree withthe conclusion. For the nutrients question about the appropriate graph, why would it be the circle when a line graph is completely innappropriate for the data?
